| Do you choose one source? Or multiple?
I'm subscribed to CBS, CNN, FOX, NYT, NPR, and Reuters on Google Reader.
One outlet I refuse to watch or read from is MSNBC. |

| I primarily rely on a variety of Russian-language news portals and once in a while watch online the big-3 federal channels. I find their international news more professional and comprehensive than from the Canadian media like CBC or CTV. I read the IHT/NYT and The Economist as well, although they can be real bitches sometimes. :D |

| BBC News. I'll check out the Daily Mail website if I fancy a quick chuckle. |

| TV wise, the Beeb.
As far as websites, oddly sometimes the SF Chronicle though more for stuff there and a couple of local newspapers for areas: Dorset Echo and The News but very local stuff in terms of websites (maybe the Beeb or Telegraph otherwise)
Newspaper, the Times. Go figure, I suppose. |

| BBC , ITV and Channel 4 on the telly. If I get sick of the same stories I'll watch a bit of Russia Today.
Other than that, the BBC website now and then as well as whatever paper is left come the time I visit the local shop. Usually The Times or the Eastern Daily Press. |

| The Daily Mash or Al Jazeera. On the TV, I opt for Sky or Fox News, or maybe the beeb for a laff. |

| A variety of sources ... a mixture of Absolute Radio and Radio 2, my internet homepage (MSN), the Beeb website and in print, the Times and the ' i ' newspaper.
Oh ... and the new avvy made me lol like a loon, Sharky :D . I bear Craig no ill will at all, but that's fucking funny. |

| NPR and BBC radio. I don't really watch television, and I don't read very much news. I'm in the car a lot, so the radio works for me. |

| TalkSport.
At least that way, when the latest f*cker who's raped and abused three kids only gets five years inside and a free namechange for it, there's far less risk of me smashing the television.

| I believe the only way to gain truthful knowledge is by diversifying the repertoire. That means while I dabble in NPR, AP, BBC News, NYTimes, I sometimes turn to the more uncommon Western news sources. Al- Jazeera, The Moscow Times......Fox News.
Blows my mind all the activity in the world. Makes posting on a forum feel minuscule. |

| AL SHARPTON OFFICIALLY JOINS MSNBC AS HOST http://www.deadline.com/2011/08/al-sharpton-officially-joins-msnbc/ Wow. Just wrong on so many levels. How to begin? #1 Politics or past aside, he's very incoherent. He is not polished or articulate. This was the best black man that MSNBC could find to "diversify" their evening lineup? He has no more mental acumen or verbal agility than the shoe shine man at the airport. When I think of all the more qualified, more interesting black reporters or talk show hosts that MSNBC could have hired, it makes me want to vomit (by the way, do we have a vomit.gif available somewhere for use?) #2 We all know how and why he got this job: because his organization blessed the NBC acquisition by Comcast, provided 8 black executives were hired, including a Chief Diversity Officer. #3 His past alone should disqualify him. However, in a world where a hooker-buying Governor (Elliot Spitzer at CNN) or a presidential adviser (Dick Morris at FOX) can get regular gigs on television, Sharpton's hiring is no surprise. Why not Tamron Hall? She's intelligent, she's articulate, she's neat and clean, she's got a great rack, sexy legs...looks like a younger Halle Berry...and because she's a dame, MSNBC could claim a "two-fer": a double minority because she's black and a female. I tell you, with an affirmative action hire like Sharpton, MSNBC's ratings are shirley going to go straight to #1 |

One outlet I refuse to watch or read from is MSNBC. FOX: Jenna Lee from 11:00 to 1:00 Megyn Kelly from 1:00 to 3:00 MSNBC: Andrea Mitchell 1:00 to 2:00 (I flip back and forth between Andrea and Megyn until 2:00, and then it's all Megyn) I then watch Tamron Hall on and off, along with Shepherd Smith's reporting. CNN: The Situation Room at 5:00. Despite what some other people have loved to accuse me of elsewhere, I never watched Glen Beck (not that there's anything wrong with that). I watch TSR until..... FOX: Special Report w/Brett Baier. That *IS* my favorite show on cable news. It's a must-watch. I like the variety of different people on the guest panel. Brett is a great, fair, sharp host..Favorite guest panelists: Nina Easton (Fortune Magazine), Mara Liasson (NPR), A.B. Stoddard (The Hill), Kirsten Powers and, of course, Charles Krauthammer. News personalities I don't care for: Contessa Brewer (MSNBC), Sean Hannity (Fox), Rachel Maddow/Lawrence O'Donnell/Al Sharpton/Ed Shultz/Chris Matthews (essentially MSNBC's entire primetime lineup), Randy Kaye (CNN) and Frederika Whitfield (don't hate her, just find her bland). News reporters I like: Chuck Todd and Luke Russert (NBC) are two of my favorites. My other big favorites are: Catherine Herridge, Jennifer Griffin, and Connor Powell, all from FOX NEWS. Catherine is the best reporter in the business. I don't waste my time with the New York Times. If I want to read a physical newspaper I'll either get a copy of USA Today or The Atlanta Urinal and Constipation Journal and Constitution. Talk radio I like: Rush Limbaugh, Tammy Bruce (now there's a fascinating woman!!! A gun-toting, lesbian, conservative feminist who used to run the L.A. chapter of NOW), Neal Boortz, Dennis Prager, Michael Medved...Laura Ingraham (most of the time, but she can get bogged down in the talking points like others) Talk radio I don't like: Sean Hannity, Mike Gallagher Online websites: DrudgeReport.com, TheHill.com, Politico.com, Rollcall.com, TheDailyCaller.com, CookPoliticalReport.com, and HuffingtonPost.com (where I am registered as GS, but don't post very much), Hotair.com and Mediaite.com |

Yeah, too bad John Scott constantly gets in the way. I'd prefer to see Jenna Lee anchor the show solo. Greg Jarrett, Newt Gingrich, and Sarah Palin (as irregular as she is) are anchors/contributors that irritate me. Just don't care for them all that much. However, Harris Faulkner, Dana Perrino...YOWSERS! And even ol' Bob Beckel has grown on me now that he's doing THE FIVE and is allowed to show a bit more personality. Oh, and by the way, I watch RED EYE w/Greg Gutfeld religiously. I've even sent in some material that they've used on the air. |

| Anyone else watching THE FIVE on Fox News? It's got a rather generic title, and I think it's a bit off-balance at times because you've essentially got a minimum of 3 people who think alike vs 1 who doesn't (Bob Beckel), with Greg Gutfeld the Libertarian thrown in as a wild card, but.........
The show has started to grow on me. I've been a fan of Greg Gutfeld and his Red Eye program for several years (even gotten a few of my quips and lines of dialogue used on the show) so initially he was the draw for me on THE FIVE. But lately I've really started to like Bob Beckel and Dana Perrino. I think they are the standouts on the show, with Eric Bolling(?) being the absolute pits. |
