| A horror film that doesn't scare you.
A thriller that doesn't thrill you.
A comedy that doesn't make you laugh.
A drama that delivers no emotion.
A porno that doesn't make you shoot the ceiling.
You get the idea.
Godard's 2 OR 3 THINGS I KNOW ABOUT HER is an interesting-looking essay film that makes me fall asleep or inspires me to find something else to do.
LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE was a mixed bag. Half-drama, half-comedy, it did absolutely nothing for me. I had to pretend to laugh at a few scenes because the girl I went to the theater with was laughing at them. I didn't get laid, so I wasted those fake laughs for nothing.
PARANORMAL ACTIVITY might work in this thread, too. It's a comedy disguised as a horror flick. |

| Gothika - a horror movie for those who don't like to be scared or in any way have their interest held by what's going on.
Napoleon Dynamite - a comedy which makes genocide seem like a laugh riot by comparison ... and it moves at a fucking snail's pace, to boot. Sometimes 'cult' just means 'shit'.

I never got that either. It's about as exciting as watching paint dry. When it came out on DVD my cousin and I gave it a spin after hearing so much hype about it during the summer. We were just baffled during the whole viewing, how the hell was this popular? I only heard one person at school defend it. Explaining "because it's so random man, it's so crazy!" |

| I've never found the collaborations between Edgar Wright, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost (namely Shaun Of The Dead and Hot Fuzz) particularly funny either. |

| Smokin' Aces - how not to make an action comedy-thriller 101 ... take a bunch of fundamentally unlikeable characters and grind them through so many twists, double-crosses etc that the baffled viewer Just. Stops. Caring. DVD only cost me £2, and I still felt ripped off.
Transformers : Revenge Of The Fallen - of course I don't expect subtlety from Michael Bay, and I have nothing against Big Dumb Fun (the first movie, for example). But Jesus on a jetski, this thing comes across like it was written by CASINOROYALE after severe head trauma ... like being continually screamed at whilst also being slapped around the head, for 2-and-a-half utterly gruelling hours. The fact that it would appear from this that Bay is clearly sexually aroused by US military hardware doesn't help either. |

Well, his favourite film is 'Hiroshima Mon Amour'. Films that don't deliver? 'Notting Hill'. Not a single mugging or crackden in it. |

| Well, there are plenty of flick that didn't do it for me.
Perhaps I'll find a few that I feel should have or could have. |

| Interesting idea, pretty sure there are countless movies that fail on some level. Mostly horror movies, I don't like 'em (being into Sci-Fi) but I'd a friend who loved them (and would wet herself at them), she made me watch one of the Hallowe'en movies once (because I'd made her watch one of the Star Treks, so fair's fair) I spent the whole time laughing at how ridiculous the dialogue was...
I believe Twilight is supposed to be romantic, um no, it's hilarious. Sparkly vampires? stop, my sides!
Human Centipede is dumb as a stump ... it's only scary in how bad it is

| The Happening.
A failure of a horror film simply because it didn't scare me. It is, however, hilarious and great fodder for a drinking game. |

That is the least of Twilight's problems. It's just an incredibly awkward film to watch - painfully so. Everyone is just ... blah. Shocking. |
