Typical Cops just wanting to shoot and kill something! 18 Endangered Bengal Tigers killed among the animals killed by these Cops!!
This is BULLSHIT!

| I read that tranquilizers weren't on hand. Regardless, you'd think there would have been another way to contain them until they could tranquilize them.

"I done killt me a orange lion tuhday." The thought had crossed my mind as well, but not only would there not have been any (or much) tranquilizers on hand, but there probably wouldn't have been enough animal control officers to even capture these animals, and that's assuming that they didn't need special training in capturing lions and tigers. Jwild's comment is reactionary; as an animal lover and volunteer at my zoo since 2005, I can tell you I'm comfortable with the decision these officers made. You can't reason with a tiger or lion. Once it is released into a civilian population the community at large was in great danger. They had to be killed and the person who is responsible for this is unfortunately already dead, having shot himself in a suicide. If you want to spit at someone, spit on this guy's grave, not the officers. |

| Yeah, it can all be traced back to an irresponsible owner. Tighter laws should prevent things like this from happening. |

| This happens to have taken place in Jack Wade's hometown, embarrassingly enough. Luckily no wild giraffes happened to injure my family. |

Eh....I don't know about that. It's not like the animals escaped or there was negligence. The owner simply wanted to unleash terror on his community, and there are no amount of laws that can stop someone from killing others if they set their mind to it, whether it's crashing airplanes into buildings, shooting or stabbing someone, or unleashing exotic, wild animals into civilian populations. What scenario could people have envisioned that would have included a disgruntled, suicidal man unleashing dozens of tigers, bears, lions and wild, virus-carrying monkeys into his neighborhood? Sounds like something Michael Chricton would have written. |
