I also went with Spock to reflect one of our "cultural" topics -- something that transcends just TV or just film. What else do we talk about here that could be a reflection of that?

I'm willing to ditch Lana but I think having more than one chick in our banner might make us seem at least a fraction of a percentage more appealing to potential new members of the opposite sex. I guess I could put some dicks in there.

Besides, the important bits are the colours and texture. That's what we see at the sides.

Some feedback:

Like the red strip, but not the "skidmark brown" (to quote Ambler). Try yellow, orange or something warmer.

It has a certain flair.

Current colours (or lack of rather) are making feel a bit ill.

Yeah, a black/neutral background is good, but it needs contrast from colours in the foreground.

Getting closer now, though maybe a bit more yellow?

Also, colourise the grey strip.
