Holy shit. I know today's gonna be the hottest day of the year, but that's no excuse for turning the forum into a giant fucking bottle of Ambre Solaire...

And yeah, it's like fucking Halloween as well, or like that last shot of The Wicker Man. Pic at bottom of front page should be Ed Woodward in his cage looking up at our ominous orange sunset shouting "Heavenly Father!!!"... Can't see our crop growing for another year with these colours, guys. Shit, my sunburn's playing up just looking at it.

Hopefully at the end of the month some fat guy will jump out telling us we've been Tango'd and order will be restored... :-)

Come on, admit that it's at least better than the Durex packet we had before, and helps distinguish ourselves from the colours of Cb.n and MI6.

PS. I recommend adjusting your monitor if you can. Just because it looks good on my settings doesn't mean it will work with everyone's.

It's not just the orange colour, the forum just seems more colour-convoluted than before because of the lack of colours which work well with the orange. I'd guess we stuck with blue, presumably like certain other forums, because it was clean and much easier to colour co-ordinate. Forum just looks a bit less professional, even though I'd still welcome nice colours if used as seamlessly as the previous blues were.

Don't mind the banner though, it seems, as in the past, to work better with a tagline under it. I still love the six gun salute, and would like to see it stay in some form even if we change to a non-Bond forum name.

I don't agree with other colours clashing, mainly thanks to the fact that we've got a black background. That helps ground the avatars, and give a somewhat classy feel. I we didn't have that, I'd probably agree.

Maybe M can try a creamy banana yellow hue and see if that works better. Think Roger Moore's jumpsuit in TSWLM.

The orange might be fine if the tint on it is just dialed down.

Yeah, it's a bit too much.

What about bokeh, while keeping black for the background?

I don't mind the orange, but I don't think it goes well with a black background. The contrast is too great. Not easy on the eyes at all.

Perhaps a beige background would suit.

Perhaps this chould be a consideration when choosing the forum colours...

Would Bond wear this colour?

Unless M is a member of the Rajneesh or an orange lodge it's hard to understand why he chose this livery. Maybe he's lost and needs a beacon. 

There's lots of sites offering advice on web design. Never seen one that thinks orange is a good look.

Born, bred and resident in Belfast NI I may be ... but there was no need to turn the place Loyalist orange just for me :face: .
