| I like 'em a lot, even though I am getting mighty tired of the whole minimalist approach to Bond book covers. |

| Well, I like a couple of these covers. YOU ONLY LIVE TWICE is great, for instance.
Others are unimaginative and by-the-numbers (OCTOPUSSY AND THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS is particularly "on-the-nose"), while a couple make no sense - why is THE MAN WITH THE GOLDEN GUN represented by.... a gate? |

| Ah, I see. Train tracks didn't even cross my mind till you pointed it out. I did genuinely believe that it was supposed to be a gate.
I think I "get" the rest of them, with the exception of those that are clearly abstract representations of nothing in particular (e.g. LIVE AND LET DIE). That said, Bond novices could be forgiven that assuming that CASINO ROYALE involves 007 at a darts tournament. |

I initially thought it was a stock crash chart of some sort. |

| What happened? Bond art is supposed to be enticing... This is why I stick with my favorites, the 60's era Signet paperbacks. |

| I like these a lot.
The Spy Who Loved Me is terrific, all motel flames and willowy Vivienne. |

| The only ones I don't like particularly care for are On Her Majesty's Secret Service and For Your Eyes Only, if only because my small mind can't figure out what the fuck they're supposed to be.
I like the rest. I never particularly care for the abstract covers but these have a simplicity I like. |
