Nothing from Brosnan, Carlyle, Cleese, Cucinotta or Richards. We don't really hear from Marceau sadly, so not expecting anything from her. No tribute from Brosnan is the biggest surprise.
Marceau and Richards did pay tribute.

Nikki van der Zyl has died, aged 85, according to some reports. The sound of many a Bond girl, from Honey Ryder to Domino, Kissy and Corrine. RIP.

R.I.P.
Just checked, looks like she had one of the biggest Bond CVs one could have. Only the likes of Lois M or Desmond L appeared in more films.

Sad to hear. I didn't realise on the quiet just how involved she was in Bond films. Or films generally. The female counterpart to Robert Rietty.
RIP

It’s very weird but I just recently watched her interview on JBR. What a lovely seeming person with an iconic gorgeous voice that’s burned into our brains.

Yaphet Kotto has died, aged 81. Wish he got to play Fleming's Mr Big but his performance in the 'Did you touch her?!' scene contributes to it being the best scene in the film.
One of his obits says he was still getting offers, including a Tom Cruise film. Wonder how recent that was.

Read on Twitter that he was the last of the 60s/70s main Bond villains. Tough read, that.
Glover, Walken Krabbe and Davi remain from the 80s. Plus Don Baker and Berkoff, depending on who you consider the main Bond villains from their respective films.
Glover and Don Baker are getting on. The former will be 86 on March 26 and the latter is 85.

Like KKBB just said, Kotto was too young to play Fleming's Mr. Big, but I quickly came to admire his turn as Dr. Kananga. By the time he made Alien he looked just right.
Yes, Julian Glover now ranks as the oldest surviving Bond villain. Makes me feel old too.

Apparently he turned down Picard, that would've been interesting. Sad news to hear. The alum continue to him out sadly.

Oh man this sucks. What a great talent and vivid actor. I always wish he had turned up in more A level films but do try to see anything he's in that I haven't yet. Kananga is one of the best villains in the series without question and the impact of Kotto's performance is due to his linkage of the Villain viewing himself as good as Bond-and the level of emotional passions raging beneath the surface.

Thought it might sting you hard, HGTB.

Wonder why he turned down so much. Seems his lack of high-profile roles isn't due to the lack of opportunity.

Nothing a bit of greying hair and other makeup couldn't have fixed. After all, they did create the Mr Big mask for Kananga, anyway.

I can't say I really remember Paul Ritter in QOS - I've barely watched that movie since its release - but he was excellent in Chernobyl and Friday Night Dinner. R.I.P.

He is Haines, one of the Quantum operatives in the Tosca audience. Think QOS may have originally ended with Bond confronting/killing him, but it was cut.
He was absolutely hilarious in Friday Night Dinner. R.I.P., 54 is no age at all.

Helen McCrory has passed aged but 52. Though chiefly famous for Peaky Blinders, she sparred rather well with Judi Dench's M in Skyfall and was married to Damian Lewis. Sad loss for the acting world.

Also a pretty decent Dr Who baddie in the Matt Smith episode 'Vampires Of Venice'.
Gone far too soon, much like Paul Ritter. R.I.P.

Quite a shock to wake up to that news yesterday. I very much enjoyed her presence and character in SF and was hoping she'd, in some capacity, return in SP and beyond to give grief to the MI6 folk. RIP.

Doesn't feel quite as fleshed out as I remember the QOS film makers suggesting it was.

Damian Lewis wrote a piece about her in the Telegraph over the weekend, quite moving. Like Blunty says, taken too soon which seems to be the horrid theme of this year.
