New 'SPECTRE' Poster

The reason why posters (for Bond and non-Bond) these days go for a minimalist approach is because of the mentality that goes into making posters also work as thumbnail pics that you can browse on iTunes and Netflix. The theatrical poster for TLD would not function as a thumbnail pic because so much of the detail would be minimized to the point you can barely recognize it, which is why they redesign them to have Dalton's face taking up much of the space, with enough for the title and a 007 logo to make it recognizable for the average joe.

That theatrical poster is among the worst. Even as a photoshop job it's a hack work. It's obviously Craig's head on someone else's body, that why Eva Green looks horrified.

Blofeld had a pussy in the original draft, but I think it was Amy Paschal that said no one would buy Blofeld as a woman unless maybe Meryl Streep was playing the role, so the writers changed him back to a man.

Actually, I think these new ones are the best since DAD. I like posters that have things going on in them. A lot of color and action. Other than, perhaps, the CR teaser poster, I've not been impressed by much else in the Craig poster era, but this is definitely an improvement over everything that has come since.

I like this new batch too. Much better than the teal one-sheet. I think that top horizontal one — not sure if it's a quad, standee or just art for the web — is great.

The teal poster was definitely missing something, and now that this version has been published, I know what it was - a splash of colour to offset the grey.

IMAX poster:

Their best poster so far.

I have a feeling the IMAX posters are always gonna be among the best of Craig's run, assuming he does the final fifth film on his contract.

I dunno, that's a bit too gritty for me.

I'm not across the spoilers, but from the trailers I'd guess Bond spends the better part of a minute dressed like a Mexican beer mascot. Makes about as much sense as having an OP poster starring Bond in his Bozo getup.

Nothing about the IMAX poster says Bond. For anything else, I'd like it.
