OK, I'll stop now.
You have to admit, even if you don't like LTK (which is an understatement for you I know!) it is legitimately a great scene.

It's not that controversial, at least outside this forum.

The rationale behind all the rankings is pretty good, even if I don't agree on some of them. OHMSS would probably rank #1 on my list too if only Lazenby were not cast. Since he was, the film is simply incapable of reaching that height.

Agreed. Good rationale but some choices are a bit baffling. OP is definitely better than that.

Ah yes, I gave this a watch during a workout and forgot to add my thoughts afterward. There's certainly a good cause for OHMSS at no. 1 and Lazenby's performance perhaps adds to that, in my opinion. CR is much too high but refreshing to see DAD higher than 2 of Craig's and TND and TWINE not relegated to the bottom.
OP, AVTAK and GE are too low and as I say, CR, much, much too high.

Very nice Hilly! For some reason I thought you rated Spy quite highly, what with the naval component and all that. Turns out TND really is the superior WWIII and naval story! I'm a happy man. Cracking top 4, refreshing to see DAD not relegated to the bottom and CR nowhere near the top. GE creeping up to round out the best film of the most recent two eras makes me proud.
I've long suggested that the weakest of Brosnan's efforts is simply middle of the road Bond and your ranking is consistent with that (even if I'd personally bump up at least half of his era to the top 5!).
It really isn't all that different to my list. I wouldn't have LTK as high, or Diamonds, but it's a good point of difference. Good job!

TSWLM used to be much higher. Even the Royal Navy can't save it.
It is odd how the rankings have changed in respect to Brosnan but such is the passage of time. Since my last Bondathon Spectre came along and various views about this era have become entrenched.
If I wait until 2025 for the next one, God knows where they'll be!

I'm gonna guess nobodys scrutinising these lists any longer so i wont bore anybody with another list of 24 films.....Best film is OHMSS, worst film is Moonraker. As good as Lazenby was in OHMSS i still wish Connery had done it. Moonraker is erm, well....shit

I love a ranking so if have one, feel free to post it! OHMSS at the top is always good game. MR at the bottom well... one can argue otherwise but it's certainly in the second half for me!

Interesting ranking. CR is certainly too high for my tastes. Perhaps YOLT too but it's nice to see some love for that film. Thanks for sharing!

The Spy Who Loved Me is quite low on that list. That is one Bond movie I keep going back and forth on, cause a part of me would put it around #4, but the other part says #16, so it's definitely the hardest to decide on.

It's such a shame they cast Bach. The dynamic between Bond and Anya has all the makings of one of the best in the series.

Does anyone think that Bond and Anya's chemistry was perhaps more on the corny side, rather than sexy, or no, with her doing things like making fun of Bond's shaken not stirred line, or no? Or when she says let me look at your wound, and then they play the cheesy saxophone music?

Or another thing is, you could make the case that it was the best romance of the Moore era, because Bond has more screen time with the love interest to develop the romance, and the romance is centered around a much better than usual plot turn of Anya's boyfriend being killed.

Yeah I can definitely look at it both ways. Well as for her being wooden, I do like For Your Eyes Only and the Bond girl in that is wooden in her acting, so it is fair of me to say Anya is too wooden, when Melina, is also quite wooden?
