| WINNER ANNOUNCEMENTWell done to all those who entered. After much discussion with Nicolás Suszczyk, with several great entries - and then Santa's questionable answer ( ) - we narrowed it down to four possible winners, then to two. But only one victor can emerge. The winner of Bond and Beyond's 1st competition is... - Spoiler:

- The first thing I think of when I think Goldeneye is mood. The film has an atmosphere and ambiance to it that is fairly unique to it and one of the main reasons why it's one that always at least goes in the top three for me. It's a transitional Bond film bringing him into a post-Cold War era but still in a way bringing an epilogue to his previous exploits and part of it is just in the mood. The film has a darker, colder feel to it that feels as much a character as Bond and the rest of the cast and while I love everything else about the film the ambiance is what comes out on top for me.
So as the winner, you have one week to get in touch via pm with a postal address (and nominate if you'd like the English or Spanish version). Once we receive your message, we'll organise a copy to be sent out to you. For those who missed out this time, you can purchase your copy here: https://goldeneyedossier.wixsite.com/goldeneyeworld If you've read the book, feel free to use this thread to discuss The World of Goldeneye. If you'd like us to run more competitions please let us know here or in a pm. |

| Congrats! I'm a few chapters in myself and very much enjoying it. Easy read, and it goes down well with the Goldeneye score playing in the background. |

| Congratulations Strangways&Quarrel, I loved the way you used the word "mood" because that mood is what characterizes GoldenEye from the future Brosnan and Craig films and some of the earlier ones with Dalton and Moore. Hope you'll enjoy the reading as much as Xenia Onatopp does! |

| Work and life has stopped me from digging deeper into this book sooner, but I'm really enjoying it. The spiritual subtext/symbolism is interesting and a fresh way to look at some of the dynamics in GE. The BTS chapter is great too. Shame about Brosnan's Rolex. |

| Received the book today. Also wanted to note I was able to keep up with the shipping status on the book. Since I have a UPS My Choice account anytime UPS ships something with my name and address on it they send me an e-mail with a link to the tracking page even if a tracking number isn't provided elsewhere. |

| Wanted to update that I have finished reading the book today and have even posted a review for it on Goodreads (https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/2905580738)
I thought it was a great book. Well written and informative plus liked that it not only covered the film but even covered the game adaptations. I particularly like that it goes a bit in-depth into the Cold War aspect of the film and gives some historical context as that's a big part of the film's overall tone and mood. |

| It truly is the 'World of Goldeneye', in every facet- even mentions of Reflections in a Goldeneye and Fleming's Jamaican home.
Somehow it even enhanced my viewing pleasure of the film. I love that Nicolás also delves deep into Ouromov's character, highlighting what's written on MI6's dossier. |

| Thank you for your kind words MKKBB! By the way, I'm working on a Brosnan book right now. Hopefully, it'll be done this month (I'm revising page 94 of 207). The GoldenEye Dossier (@gedossier007) Twitter account has been restricted for "unusual activity", so I left Twitter because I'm tired to be asked for "verification" every single time. All I do is posting stuff related to Bond and GoldenEye, which includes posting, liking, retweeting, but the big bosses there for a reason find that "unusual". It's as if a greengrocer is suspicious of me because I ask him for 2 kilos of potatoes . You can still reach me on my personal account (@NS_Writings). And The GoldenEye Dossier will still be around on Facebook (fb.com/goldeneyedossier). |

| Very tempting to get this one too but I might have to settle for the original version I already have. Does this mean the 1st edition is a rare collector's item now? |

Does this mean the 1st edition is a rare collector's item now? Not quite, the original is still sold by Amazon at a reduced price. This one's the collector's gem, so to speak ;) |
