Jack bannon

Forgive me if i'm late to the party, but are you guys familiar with Jack bannon? until today i was not, until i came across a TV series called Pennyworth on IMDB which stars Bannon as Alfred Pennyworth who would become butler to Batman no less. It is an origins story and so the show has no connections with our pointy eared hero but it struck me that Mr Bannon could be moulded into a damn good Bond if he could reign in the cockney accent a bit.

Sean Pertwee's older Alfred in 'Gotham' was Cockney, so I guess it makes sense that this show from the same people is doing it too. They will have taken their lead from Michael Caine in the Christian Bale movies, presumably ... interesting, 'cause if I remember the Adam West TV show and the 4 Batman movies from '89 - '97 correctly Alfred was quite 'posh' in those.

So has Bannon ever been "the name in the frame" so to speak?...He certainly looks the part and appears to be a competent actor.

He was only in his mid-teens the last time round, but this time ... who knows? There's this from the last paragraph of the article - 'Given that Pennyworth plays more like a cheeky James Bond Jr. tale than anything from the DC Universe' ... hell, his initials are even JB!
