Barry admitted the penny whistle was a terrible mistake yet we all have it memorized. It was extremely weird hearing the LP cue for the first time with the dramatic buildup not in the film and then an even louder whistle than in the film.
Many years later I realized it's like having the LALD bus vs bridge magical moment lose the amazing Martin cue and having the whistle slapped on.
