We've always tried to be as lenient as possible around here to the point where there are barely any rules people need to abide by. Unfortunately on occasion people throw that trust back in our faces and push things to the point of potential trouble by posting needlessly excessive content.

As far as discipline goes, the aim for these forums is for the members to all take responsibility and care when posting, and to have the common sense to know what will be accepted and what won't. We shouldn't need a fussy admin having to slap people on the wrist every two minutes, as I'd like to think we're all smart enough and old enough to know how to behave.

But, as needs must.....

I'm setting the above in stone, especially the bottom line of it. Blatant, aggressive racism or completely unsubstantiated statements which could get us shut down will result in the person responsible going on "holiday" for a while (or even something more permanent), to put it as politely as I possibly can. This applies not just to j7wild, but to anybody else who thinks these kind of posts are acceptable. Seriously, the repercussions for this site could be severe if I just stand back and allow certain comments here to continue going unaddressed, and I hope everybody understands the position I'm put in over it. The Mods here have already cleaned up a fair bit of malicious content from the boards, which I greatly appreciate, but it's something they shouldn't have to be doing. People should know better than to post offensive and potentially libellous rubbish in the first place. So let's keep a lid on it please, for all our sakes.
