How many people do I gotta kill... ?

We're all rookie assasins. What's after that? How many kills do I need to advance? And so on.

I don't care about advancement - unless it includes free drinks... What I want to know is what the difference is between posts and kills.

Yeah, what gives us kills and what are the other levels.

Do we get a kill for say, logging in again after logging out? Posting over certain days? I don't get it. I haven't seen some "Rep this user" thing so far...

IIRC, the kills thing is just advanced by a combo of posts/threads started (could be mistaken though) plus the amount of time you've been a member. It was explained a while back here, but I've kinda forgotten it.

As for ranks, I'm not sure either what comes next and when. I'll find out tomorrow though, or more likely M will post a reply in this thread upon seeing the questions.

Actually, if anyone's got any good ideas for a rank progression system, post them and if it's better than the existing system, then he'll likely alter it.

I think the kill thing is purely down to time served. I've posted a lot less than many of you, but I joined about a year ago.

Indeed, Luds never went out half-cocked.

I'm not going to tell anyone to refrain from talking negative ... the tone of this forum is openness...

So I'll be open and say that I got to know Luds a lot off the forum before he took his hiatus. We stayed in touch through that time and I consider him a friend. I think he was sometimes the only person on the forum with a level head.... and one of the few mods who was consistent and not over-reactionary.

That said, I communicate a lot with him so I don't just see the surface stuff and can't imagine what it appears like to someone who only sees some of his posts.
