Why are there four sections for Music?

For ease of use. Our search function is more hopeless than on Old MI6 (one thing MI6Community has over us) so we need more subforums to organise threads.

Because it's a downtime between films, so there's a natural lull in interest. What M is doing is focusing on the Beyond rather than Bond. That's been B&B's strength since day one. If you want more extensive and varied Bond discussion look to the Cb.n or MI6.

Could someone explain to me how the new quotes system works?
Whenever I quote someone's post, I cannot type outside of the quote window... 
Which means my post appears as part of the quoted content.

The search works fine, if you use the board's built-in Google search instead of Forumotion's search engine.
Just click on "advanced search." Then use Search Google. Or go to this url: bondandbeyond.forumotion.com/search

Incidentally, the "search" link under the banner could be edited so it redirects straight to the above url.

The music section shouldn't be spread so thin... We don't get enough posts to warrant four music sections. I see the logic in separating "Film Scores, Soundtracks, and Composers" from the general "Music" section. But that's the only separation needed, IMO.

If the problem is the broken Forumotion search function - then change the "search" link so people are redirected to the Google search!

I wouldn't worry too much. Forum looks like shit to me as well at the moment, but M himself stated that from now until the end of the month will be a transitionary period with some design experimentation, so hopefully we can all just be patient for now. I'm sure everything will get sorted, especially if all the good ideas and feedback keep coming.

Seems to have reverted back to semi-normality. Das ist gut.

It's quite annoying.

Looks like its back to normal to me now. Dunno what the glitch was all about.

I'll take out all of the word censorings, there's no need for them.  Forgot they were even still in place anywhere here. 
 
On another note, some recent posts seemed to debate the amount of sections devoted to music here. I actually think these sections will work out well, especially the bands and artists section.  Already there are posts appearing which seem to be getting some of our best members talking in the ways the forum is trying to encourage.

What about "After Hours: Adults Only Area?" Is that to remain restricted access?

That's up to us lot as a collective, not me.  A few valued members preferred it to be hidden/optional.

Can we get rid of "Only Mods Can See This Link" in the lower sections?

Not a fan of this new thin width (looks like it was made for 800x600) resolution monitors). Never was a fan of fixed widths to be honest. I prefer it to be set at 100% so that its width is flexible to the size of one's window, much like the old MI6 had set.

This is bad. I feel like it's 2001 right now.

Okay, nice, I can now change the shape of my window and not have to scroll left or right. Doubt I'll need to expand to full screen ever again, as I am using a 16:9 monitor and that has never been my favorite monitor format for computers.

The layout was fine the way it was. Why change it? A layout probably isn't going to bring in members.

Yes, I see no need for the change, either. It was fine as it was.
