Very solid review from blu-ray.com too: http://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Touch-of-Evil-Blu-ray/26694/#Review |

The player probably recognises the disc as Showgirls...... Is it a firmware update? Certainly not much to do but let it do its stuff bit it shouldn't be taking that length of time. |

Nothing too interesting. Funny to see ANATOMY OF A MURDER. They have it for 1.85, but I thought it looked better open matte. |

Nothing too interesting. Oh, the release of the THREE COLORS trilogy is definitely worth noting (it's on my Christmas list). |

| I'll rent it from my local GOOD video place. They get the Criterion Blu-ray releases.
I'm seriously considering getting this as a Christmas gift for myself: http://www.amazon.com/America-Lost-Found-Criterion-Collection/dp/B003ZYU3SC
Partly because I've simply wanted the damn thing.
Maybe I could con my family into getting it for me as a Christmas present. |

| Oh, Criterion are doing Anatomy of a Murder, eh?
I they do a few other Preminger flicks as well. I'd love someone to do at least a half-way adequate release of Exodus. Complete with proper Bob Marley title track, instead of that Ernest Gold shit. |

Nothing too interesting. Most of those films look extremely interesting, and a handful of them are arguably among the greatest ever made. I enjoyed Seijun Suzuki's BRANDED TO KILL when I saw it a few years ago, although I was less keen on his TOKYO DRIFTER. |

I am? It's more experience than actual taste. I'm just not as versed in world cinema. Yet. |

| Very much looking forward to the Blu Ray of 12 Angry Men, no matter how many times I see it still grabs me and becomes irresistable to see to the end
More Hammer Films on the way from Studio Canal and a great trio they are -

| Olive Films has also seemingly nabbed the licence for the Ray/Cagney Western RUN FOR COVER. Very excited. Actually, having found the full list of films theyve got (32 new 'uns in total, and they're all classic Hollywood ones this time), others include rare William Holden films THE TURNING POINT and THE PROUD AND THE PROFANE (vistavision, Kerr, Ritter, Dewey Martin, sounds interesting to me!), Lee J Cobb films in THE TRAP (an apparent spy film starring Widmark), COME BLOW YOUR HORN (with Sinatra) , some other 50s westerns and 5 Jerry Lewis films. And MY SON JOHN. Thats one film I wont be getting. |

I will actually buy a Region A Blu-ray player just for THE GEISHA BOY as long as it doesn't look like total ass (considering the Paramount DVD is pretty amazing in the picture quality department, I don't see that happening). Tashlin and Lewis were a match made in heaven. |

The ONE exception I can think of is THE KING OF COMEDY. I love that movie. That dinner scene is one of my favorites in any movie. Like with Jim Carrey, I don't see the appeal of Lewis. |
