If you enjoy a Bond movie that feels like Rush Hour, sure, by all means. |

He might even be worse than Tamahori. |

| At least Tamahori had a bit of flair and style, though like Ratner he is brainless. |

It's his first English-language release, and he looks pretty confident in the action scenes. I'm going to bring this suggestion up again, because the first reviews of THE LAST STAND are coming in, and from the sounds of things, Kim Jee-Woon has done a pretty good job with it. |

| Tomas Alfredson would be a good choice.
But, I'd prefer if he made SMILEY'S PEOPLE instead of something like Bond 24. |

| I added a poll. I tentatively put names out there that I think have a legitimate chance of being in the conversation that SONY will be having with EON (if they aren't having it already). There are a lot more American names on the list than ever before simply because I think SONY is willing to push EON to hire a non-Common Wealth director this time because SKYFALL, even though directed by a Brit, has completely changed the paradigm.
I can, and will, add more names to the poll and I've allowed for multiple votes, so you don't have to choose just one. I'll add more as we get more names that I think are legitimate contenders.
And though the poll does ask "Who *SHOULD* direct Bond 24?", the answers can't include Mendes nor Christopher Nolan because we already know they have other commitments. So our answers must be taken from among a pool of people who at least have an opportunity to direct BOND 24. |

| You can unlist Tarantino since he said the only film he was ever interested in was Casino Royale and he has no interest in doing a Bond film with Craig. |

| Maybe post-Inglourious Basterds, but unlikely prior. Either way he would have made a great villain, maybe even better as an ally. |

He's already said Craig isn't his idea of Bond, and has openly criticised SKYFALL. Ridley Scott? What weed are you smoking? |

| Danny Boyle's out. http://www.latinospost.com/articles/14078/20130311/james-bond-24-movie-news-update-danny-boyle-interested-directing.htm - Quote :
- During his time in SXSW, Boyle stated that the James Bond series was not for him. The director said "It's not for me, I'm afraid... Because of the Bond thing in the Olympics, I visited the [Skyfall] set a few times and saw Sam, Barbara Broccoli, Michael Wilson and Daniel Craig and everybody. They're different kinds of films, you know? They're huge. They're just huge. They wouldn't get the best out of me, doing that sort of thing."

| What about Julie Taymor? If that happened we'd automatically get a score by Elliot Goldenthal (her husband). |

| I voted for Tarantino, because even though he wouldn't do it, he's the only one on that list that I can picture doing a great film.
You know, I may edit the poll, replacing Tarantino with Joe Wright. If everyone is okay with that. |

| My vote is on Joe Wright's now. I think he'd make a brilliant Bond film, and I'd love if Seamus McGarvey (his cinematographer) and Dario Marionelli (his composer) jump on board! But I'm happy with Arnold too. :) |

| I'd put my money on Joe Wright too. But the real important question is: who has been frequenting Hugh Jackman's house parties lately? |

| Hollywood Reporter is saying that Guy Ritchie is the odds-on-favorite by London bookmakers to direct BOND 24.
I saw TMZ last night (a recently discovered guilty pleasure) and one of the reporters caught him coming into LAX and asked him if he was going to direct the next Bond movie and he said "I don't know about that. We'll have to wait and see about it."
Notice there is no outright denial or attempt to be coy or cute or obtuse with his answer. Sounds like he's definitely in the discussion mix with SONY.
