| I've wanted Marion Cotillard in a Bond film for a long time now. |

| Judd Apatow should direct in order to give a lighter feel. Or Joss Whedon in order to be cool. Or to be really cool get Nolan, Fincher, Tarantino since middlebrow college kids are obligated to gush over their films. If you want uncommercial and unconventional then how about Terrence Malick, Michael Haneke, Lars Von Trier or Apichatpong Weerasethakul ? Since we all love QOS here ;) (I still haven't actually seen it!) how about Ken Loach or Mike Leigh? Or for the postmodern hipster irony value James Nguyen or Tommy Wiseau. (*Insert your own jab at EON here*) |

| I'd support a Tarantino Bond film. As much as I like Fincher, I don't think his visual style is what I want for Bond. Malick would be too non-linear for Bond, Lars Von Trier may just bring the 'Benign Bizarre' back to Bond (though I've only seen Melancholia of his).
And I actually do love QOS....;)

| Actually I've been a member almost nine months. I thought my account would have been deleted by now. :D
Von Trier eh? Looking forward to some more mutilation of Bond's testicals and female genital mutilation now?

Von Trier eh?
Do you remember the OHMSS trailer, with 'this time, they drop a mountain on him."
If you've seen MELANCHOLIA, then his Bond would be, 'this time, they drop a planet on him.' (isn't that how they killed Chewbacca in the Star Wars book?) |

| John Glen is still alive, isn't he? I think they need to go back to the old days when the same director would direct more than one Bond film. |

 John Glen was an awful director, why would we want to go back to that? |

| I thought he was an awful choice after we had Young, Hmailton, Gilbert and Hunt bring in their styles, Glen was very pedestrian. Dalton wasn't too fond of him as a director either. |

| I'm not so sure about Campbell. He's a good director, but he excels at making good, solid Bond films when the series needs it the most. That's not a trait I would want to abuse too much. |

So he can make an awful Bond film like he made an awful Green Lantern? |

Ridley Scott is 74, and he managed just fine with PROMETHEUS ... - j7wild wrote:

GREEN LANTERN's problem wasn't its direction. It was the script and the studio's assumption that there would be a sequel. |

IMO, John Glen made 3 of the best Bond Films ever: For Your Eyes Only, The Living Daylights, Licence To Kill Also, IMO, Peter Hunt directed the Best Bond Film of them all and it's a shame he was allowed to direct only one: On Her Majesty's Secret Service. |

I suppose you're forgetting the two Bond films he made, which were both generally quite well received. |

I suppose you're forgetting the two Bond films he made, which were both generally quite well received. I didn't forget. But after Green Lantern, I fear Martin is on a downward spiral. |

But you can make a spiral out of a bad film reel. |

| How about Kenneth Branagh?
Thor juggled action, emotion and humour pretty well imo without one overwhelming the other. |

| Late to the party here, but please no. Never Nolan. Ever. The guy has zero ability with humour, for one. - lachesis wrote:

In his scripts, perhaps. But what if he was not writing for once? |
