I actually ordered a cheap DVD of GREETINGS. I intend to to see all of De Palma's films.

Well, HOME MOVIES is downloaded. It's an VHS rip in fullscreen, but at least it's something. Anyone know if it was shot in that ratio?

Ya know, it took me a long time to like De Palma. The first I was aware of him was 2004/2005 when I had this acting/film teacher that absolutely hated him and said he was the worst director of all time. He was adamant about it. I dare say, the idea got partially lodged in my brain for years.

Just began my De Palma run with MURDER A LA MOD. Not hard to see there's a lot of stuff he'll revisit later but overall it's pretty amateurish. Gotta start somewhere I guess.

THE WEDDING PARTY is on "very long wait" on Netflix, so who knows how long that'll take. :|

MURDER A LA MOD is a mixed bag. It's expertly shot but a little too quirky for me. I love the cemetery scenes, though.

WEDDING PARTY isn't really worth it. I didn't find it to be such. GREETINGS is okay if you can find it. HI MOM! is good.

SISTERS is where things start to take off, and PHANTOM is excellent.

Jessica Harper had it going on in the 70's.

Because the films are either unavailable or listed as "very long wait", I'm getting HI, MOM! instead. Sounds pretty fun, I should get it tomorrow.

Saw Hi, Mom! awhile ago but forgot to post about it. I liked it for the most part but nothing remarkable. Always a delight to see De Niro though. SISTERS is up next.
