| By 'signature moment,' I mean something that shines out distinctively to separate it from the rest of the films. For example, Goldfinger's signature moment, for me, is that scene with the laser and the catch phrases, "you expect me to talk?"..."no Mr. Bond, I expect you to die." Skyfall's moment for me would be this sequence...tragic, shocking, original...unexpected. This is the first thing I think of when Skyfall comes to mind. |

| Without question, the conversation between Bond and Severine in the Floating Dragon. It was a Daniel Craig tour de force and the finest single moment by a Bond girl in series history. Flawless, mesmerizing, suspenseful and slightly haunting. |

| It's between M's recital of Tennyson and the reveal of the DB5 for me. |

| Silva's introduction, M reciting Tennyson, anything with Severine in it and the fight in the Shanghai offices are all high on my list. |

| What PM and Khan said, though I'd also throw in M's minute in the chapel with Bond. "I suppose it too late make a run for it?" Wonderfully acted, written, shot and scored. If only Vesper's death was as restrained as that. BTW, for good quality screencaps - go here: http://ladymanson.com/galleries/movies/Movies0/thumbnails.php?album=2 |

| much of what has been said: Tennyson accompanied by the music and Bond running hell for leather, the DB5 and M's death. Maybe even the enquiry shootout as well. |

| No doubt, M's death was handled very well. It bears a passing resemblance to Tracy's death. |

| If we're talking about something that stands out differently than any other film, I'd say the Tennyson scene as well. Much like how the opera sequence in QOS is probably that film's signature moment. Other films?
DN - ?? FRWL - Gypsy Camp! GF - Golfing with Goldfinger TB - Underwater Fight YOLT - Volcano Lair Assault OHMSS - Bond marries DAF - Moon Buggy (??) LALD - Voodoo Island TMWTGG - Funhouse Sequences TSWLM - Wet Nellie Sequence MR - Bond in Space FYEO - Torture in the Ocean OP - Bond in India (Not necessarily the best portion of the film, but definitely an OP staple) AVTAK - Golden Gate Bridge Fight TLD - The Sniper Was A Woman LTK - Leiter's Torture (??) GE - Tank Chase (??) TND - Remote Control Car Chase TWINE - ?? DAD - ?? CR - Poker Game (??)

| Signature moment? There could be only one: Silva's big reveal in front of M....showing the physical scars he bore from having NOT died from ingesting cyanide. |

This comes in at #2 for me because I was totally not expecting it. M's death was spolied because it was leaked well in advance. |

I knew the outcome, but not how it was going to play out. |

| Before viewing the film, I figured M would get shot in some shitty, slow-motion sequence, dramatic music and all.
I think the signature moments in SKYFALL involve Severine, from the time she first sees Bond in Shanghai, to the Macau casino, to the shower scene on the yacht, and, eventually, her demise.
I enjoyed how they included the sex trade background for the character. It made her much more interesting. |

| Also spoild (By discussion because it whas already in the teaser trailer): Bond stay on the roof take a look over London. Enjoying rest/think about his sins. Shame Eve spoild the moment a bit and then the disapointed gunbarrel. |

Flawless, mesmerizing, suspenseful and slightly haunting. I would agree with this, it is such a quintessentially Bondian scene. The scene that best sums up the larger themes of the movie is the one with Turner's "The Fighting Temeraire". |
