| When an internet forum has to try this hard to sustain itself, maybe it's time to call it a day. |

| I think the site is fine as the small, niche, quite community it is (and as it always was planned to be.)
I'm sure in a few months from now we'll have 20 more 500 page threads with "Let's fix da site, no 1 is posting ne morez." and then nothing happens. Repeat cycle.

| If we go back to that soul-searching there will this time be nothing left but, in the words of Spock, "bitter dregs". |

| Should have become CULTURECIDE when we had the chance. Something universal and cool-sounding could have attracted members across all social media platforms.

| Right now, we might as well just go back to being Keeping The British End Up. MI6 didn't make that what it was, we did. We have the banner, we have the members. This place is basically the segments of KTBEU which were made by ourselves over the last ten years, we brought our niche here, we own what we made KTBEU become, we should just take it back, hell maybe even the nostalgia of a KTBEU replica forum accompanied by "please come back" e-mails to all members could tempt some people back for the nostalgia trip and we can take it from there. |

| As far as the suggested titles went, CULTURECIDE was a one man fan club.
Are we certain Laz ain't Bobbie Gillespie? ;) |

| Wish I was. Gillespie gave us Movin' On Up. Right now, we're sadly the exact f*cking opposite. |

| We could always make the dream of a porn site called Baker Street a reality.

Baker Street is a reality. You'll find the entrance to our Brighton branch here. Best ride in town. |

| The biggest problem I feel is that I have nothing left to say. I like all you guys, but I feel like everyone pretty much knows what everyone else's opinions are on everything. There's nothing new being injected into the conversation. Without a new movie to discuss, or even a decent TV show like Mad Men running to talk about, y'know? I know what we all think about the older movies, and the books, and so on. The only place I feel I have anything new to offer is a few pics to dole out here and there in the Penthouse Suite.
You guys know what I like, and I know who hates what I like, and what's left to say? It's like a marriage forty years in. The kids have grown up and gone home, we don't like what they're into, we don't much like what each other is into but at least it's closer, but why talk about it? Even the sex is starting to get dull. Not much left to do but drink until the pensions kick in. And then what?
I mean, I love the place's new look. I really do. It totally gets across what this place SHOULD BE, but without anyone new to talk to, what do we have left to say? Sometimes I feel like becoming a self-destructive troll and getting nasty with people just to spice things up but I know that's not the way. |

| Well with the amount of long-standing members alienated and new members conspicuous by their absence, maybe it's time the blog idea was pursued. That would spice things up without any need for trolling. There's much talk on here about blogging and how easy it would be, but no action taken. Members have made the commitment to write articles for said blog. I'd really like to see what they can come up with. It's time to make good on their innuendos. Leadership comes from above ultimately and only the admin can give the blog idea the green light. I think he should now do this as a starting point as well as a future discussion point. Kill two birds with the one stone. |

...and sadly fails miserably on both counts. I'm away to shoot myself with a shotgun using my feet, Alan Partridge-style. |

| For all this talk of lack of life around here, for the past few days when I go to 'View your posts' there's been fresh activity in at least a dozen threads that I've posted in. |

| Not too big. I think £10 and a pack of Special Brew is quite reasonable. |

Well, the vote went against a rebranding, there's no enthusiasm towards a merger, the only change people agreed on wanting was ultimately just a layout and banner change. I personally wanted a real shakeup, and I made that opinion clearly known. The members are the lifeblood of the forums, so of course I'm not gonna make a pile of wholesale changes that the majority here don't want. Everybody had plenty of time to speak up and put forward ideas to improve the forums. The current state of play is a result of what the majority of members wanted. |

| M, it's your forum so you should do what you think is best. Stop asking the rank and file and follow your instincts.
If there's one thing people hate it's a lack of leadership. |
