| With SPECTRE's just released, I thought it would be worthwhile to look back at the teaser posters of Craig's previous films and see which holds up. Not only do I think this is the best teaser, I think it's the best poster we've gotten out of all of Craig's tenure. I like the idea of putting up an image of Bond as we last saw him CR as a way of really signifying that this will immediately follow up from where we last saw him. But like the film itself, it's rather too desolate and I remember how a lot were already put off by this one simple poster. Using simple iconography is an effective way to say "Bond is back", though I think it's mixed here. Craig looks awkward and the use of the gun barrel as a tunnel doesn't quite do it for me. Of the teasers, I'd rank this second best. Using the octopus sigil is a nice way of hinting to Bond fans of SPECTRE's return, and the allusion to Tracy's death is an interesting touch. No idea if the film is following up on that idea, or it's just to distract fans from what may actually happen. |

| CASINO ROYALE and SKYFALL were nice because they relied on iconic elements. The gun, the silencer, the tux, the gunbarrel.
QUANTUM's was shit. The work of an unpaid intern, probably.
SPECTRE's doesn't look like much until you pick out the octopus. Clever. |

| There's something of the night about that first CR poster. As though Craig has fangs.
It's telling that the second poster has no title. Everything about Quantum of Solace was an afterthought, most unfortunately the script. |

It does look like they shot it in the car park. |

It does look like they shot it in the car park. A six-man team from MK12 flew to Chile and spent four days taking that photo. Total cost: US$2.3 million. Well, that would fit in with next to nothing of QoS's huge budget showing up on the screen... |

I have no idea if that's true, but it wouldn't surprise me if it's true. |

| Yeah I agree with your analysis MP. Interesting how there is much colour in them... - Erica Ambler wrote:

| As your Chief of Staff, I will bring back the laughing smiley face. Even the sunglasses for CASINOROYALE's inetivable return.
Once Laz is back.......... |

Once Laz is back.......... Thank you. The CASINOROYALE impressions just haven't been the same since we lost the old smiley set. |

| That CR teaser was the bee's knees when it first came out. Still the best of the bunch. Skyfall's was alright, but could've used a bit of colour.
Quantum's may as well have been made for CASINOROYALE's walking-away-from-explosion blockbuster. |

| I still really like the Casino Royale teaser poster. It actually has a mood to it. The Quantum of Solace is one just flat-out poorly designed and ugly, while the Skyfall poster is uninspired. |
