Right on the mark. It's that innocent love of life that's been missing in pop. She also seems to be pretty versatile too.

She seems to delight in inhabiting a wide variety of styles. One of the great things about her album, THE ARCHANDROID, is that it is continually heading in new directions. That her voice is suited to all these different approaches is really quite impressive. Can't wait for her new album.

A bit too late but did anybody ever wonder what Johnny Cash would have been like?

Hey, thanks! Did Cash do that one for Bond or is it just a coincidence? I remember having read somewhere about Cash handing in some song for one of the early films but always thought it's BS.

Have to say I was thinking more of the late Cash from the American recordings, like his One or Hurt cover or his version of The Man Comes Around. I know, his voice is terribly thin at times, often breaking with the effort. But this guy was really giving everything there and I keep asking myself why he didn't get a chance for an end titles song.

It sounds like a GCSE music student's attempt at aping Alan Silvestri (everything from the orchestration to the tone clusters, aleatoric effects, and similar chord progressions). Very little John Barry, aside from the odd touches (i.e. wailing trumpets) here and there.

Adele would be a good choice. From what I understand she's very popular in Britain. I myself don't care much for her voice, but I appreciate her curvaceousness.

Not just in Britain. She's had the #1 album in the United States for several weeks running. I turned on the radio last week and flipped through 10 different FM stations and I swear to God that ROLLING IN THE DEEP was on three of them during one five-minute stretch. She's been one of the biggest selling acts of 2011 in the U.S. She's been one of the better success stories of late.

I have no problem with her doing something for BOND-23, but I'd really like to see MUSE get a song in there as well as long as it is as good as UPRISING or UNDISCLOSED DESIRES.

Adele her last song (Someone like you) on the moment stay for 18 weeks in the Dutch charts and highest position of this song be 3/40, the song before that (Set Fire to the Rain) totaly stay 23 weeks in it, be a number 1 hit for one week, Rolling in the deep the song before and you can see as her best start after Make you feel my love, Rolling in the deep stay for a couple of weeks on number 1 and 29 weeks in it. The only one who comes close to her is Alexis Jordan who at this moment stay 27 weeks in in the list. What be so special too is that from those 23 weeks she 17 weeks in the Top10 and it take another 4 weeks before she whas pushed out the top 20. Also she visit my country a couple of times to promoted and thats;s why Make You Feel My Love be a big hit.

Mabey Eon whant somebody who get a longer time periode, everbody stil hearing something about Duffy.

I have no problem with Adele for Bond 23. I like her quite a bit, despite hearing ROLLING IN THE DEEP on the radio a hundred times a day.

I suggested Alela Diane on CBn, nobody seemed to know her, though she has a quite great success since The pirate's gospel. Do listen her song Desire, sounds Bondian to me (not the lyrics or the melody, but her voice tone). What do you think ?
