What song are you listening to?

Not big on Shostakovich, Sarai?

Here's what I'm listening to:

I do go through long stretches of listening to nothing but classical or I did when I lived alone. Rachmaninoff, Schubert, Wagner among my favorites. I like to get really high,lay in bed and listen to Swan Lake, Tristan and Isolde or the Ring cycle  for hours and hours and just let it swallow me up, take me away.

I figured you more for this type of thing

Heh. Not a bad tune. But when it comes to country and western, I like the more traditional stuff from the 50s, 60s and 70s. I also love Dwight Yoakam, although he apparently is something of a D-head.

I'm not all that familiar with them but Cash, Waylon, Hank, Merle Haggard, Billy Joe Shaver is about as bad ass as it gets.

Waylon was born just up the road from where I was born and raised. Naturally, he's a legend in these parts.
