| I have 3 movies with her in my collection who i haven't seen yet. I hope she is cast for her acting/self and possible Jamaica background. There not be much blackgirls in Bond and it is a bit strange she cast around a Anniversary Bond movie like Barrey. If she is cast, i hope it be for a funny part. Not a girl who going on there own like Barrey. I hate the story line at Cuba in DAD because she did something Bond should do. Barrey be much better in X-men and Cat Woman. It be a choose of behaviour/background of the chacter.
The mean girls (i prefer 3) of Bond 23 should be girls from mean location(s) of Bond 23. |

And my "big jump" would be from paying fan to non-paying, non-watching, non-fan of the series.
I suspect Bond would lose perhaps 70% of its over-40 fanbase were the big jump to happen. |

| They should just bring Sophie Marceau back. She's a MILF, has a nice rack, and can act. That's all I really need.
Unfortunately, though, the teenage audiences would probably be put off by those three traits. |

I don't think they'd make that jump precisely for that same reason. There's no reason to. Under 40s like me would refuse to see it either. Of course, if there was a Bond flick which involves tissue regeneration and melanin and turns white-bread Bond black for a specific spy reason, that might be something else....reminds me of 1997's Face-Off...which I enjoyed more than Tomorrow Never Dies. :bball: |

Bond girl roles don't really require much of anything else, although it was refreshing to see some deviation recently. |

Bond girl roles don't really require much of anything else, although it was refreshing to see some deviation recently. The problem is that Marceau's part (despite being crappily written), demanded a better actress to deliver those lines with some conviction. All we got was one-note aloof brattiness. Anyhow, the film didn't deserve any better. I honestly don't think recent casting's improved. Eva Greentea and Helga Kuryandkebab? Nah. |

Olga Kurylenko's Camille wasn't your typical tits and ass bubble-head. Solange was though...I wanted to climb into the screen and kill her myself because once again, there was a Bond girl who epitomised floozy and had the IQ of a gnat. |

Olga Kurylenko's Camille wasn't your typical tits and ass bubble-head. But she didn't have a personality either! Just another rambette cypher, that wouldn't be out of place in trash like WANTED or DEATH PROOF. Though I see you're point. She was smart, and I wouldn't kick her out of bed. |

| One of the best features of the DC era is that virtually all of the actors and actresses could actually act. There have been no John Terrys, Barbara Bachs, Tania Mallets, Hoods' Conventions, etc. Say what you want about the Craig era, the individual performances have all been credible, and certainly not embarrassing like many prior Bond performances. |

Agreed. Steven Obanno was convincing and terrifying with that blade around Valenka's arm. Compare that to Elliot Carver and his karate moves. |

OK that's good. Miccoli should like that. That's always a safe observation, on any film series really, that aspires to be relevant. I like it. She's keeping things simple. Safe answers. No agenda to re-mold the series. This is good. As for the nudity. That's rather moot. Bond girls never get naked other than maybe the odd quick "glimmer" (Denise Richards, who does get naked in other films) of a nip slip or something. Actually the hey day of main stream film nudity was the 80's which I think was even nuder than the 70's. Watch any early to mid-eighties film with any kind of adult bent, -horror, drama, action - etc and you will find at least one token nude scene, often full frontal. Even the early Police Academy films had their token flesh scenes.Gratuitous nudity was very common in the 70's and 80's films. Then things tightened up in the 90's, but simulated sex scenes became more common, but without the actual nudity. Personally I prefered the more innocent gratuitous nudity of the 80's over the 90's and beyond bed romps. In the 70's filmmakers seemed to try and artfully incorporate nudity into their films but by the 80's producers were shameless and appeared to be simply contriving reasons to undress one or two of the actresses so we could all get a glimmer. :bball: Most willing contemporary 80's inspired nudie actress I'd say is Malin Ackerman. She's very glimmer friendly as is our friend Olga outside the Bond films. |

She's either going to play Moneypenny or Gala Brand. A sort of half-response to fans. |

| Yep her quotes are pretty lame and the Eva love, (yikes) is starting to sound alarm bells. An "intelligent strong modern woman" OK, but don't forget crabby, bitchy, petulant, needy, let me just drowny........... and floaty away.
I know, I am way too hard on her  but I hope we're not in for more strong-modern-woman finger slobbering and dinner hectoring :face:
Sheesh! I might even find myself missing Fields, after this potential Mendes mess. Hip Hip! We shall endure. Some day this will pass. The Brozzer era eventually ended. |

I feel your pain. Babs and her progressive conceits may be the most devastating foe Bond has ever faced. Terrifying stuff. Shudder. :pale: It is a strange dichotomy, isn't it? A woman as the driving force behind the most lucrative and high-profile film character in history; a character that embodies almost everything that feminists hate, yet Barbara takes the money while simultaneously trying to both distance herself from Bond's true essence and water him down at the same time. The outrage I felt over Craig's PSA a few months ago still has not subsided. I can only hope SOUTH PARK does an episode about Barbara Broccoli and Bond that is similar to what they have done about George Lucas/Steven Spielberg and Indiana Jones. I feel like Barbara is raping my childhood memories of James Bond. If she's too good for James Bond then perhaps she should see the series to someone who has some genuine interest in the subject. |

| I think Babs should just be done with it and cast herself as M. Then she can lord it over the whole Bond universe and re-shape Bond to the best of her deranged progressive delight.
When she has fully reduced Bond to a quivering, emascuated, cross-dressing finger-slobbering blob, the madness will have reached critical mass and another studio will launch a hostile takeover and restore Bond to his rightful testosterone fueled, women seducing, humanity saving glory.
Long live Bond! Vive le Bond! |

But even with Dench's M being a mother-hen pecking at 007...Craig's Bond is still a ruthless badass...so just imagine if Dench wore a jock-strap :bom: |

There is that at least. But Bond's "ruthless badassing" in the last two pictures is actually a manifestation of his rebellion against the feminization of his character. It's an over-compensation. A cry of rage in a world gone horribly mad. The struggle is so intense, Bond has nothing left for Camille at the end of QoS. Bond is facing the most deadly and pernicious enemies of his career; the combined forces of Babsfinger and Dr. Dench. For England James! For humanity James! |
