| I have all but TWINE on DVD (I've no intention of changing that)
I now have FYEO, LALD, DN, and FRWL on blu ray, courtesy of a bankrupt Blockbuster. Woot. |

| I've got CR on the 2-disc DVD, then DN, FRWL, GF, TB, OHMSS, FYEO and GE on Ultimate Edition, DAD on 2-disc DVD (why?), don't have QOS at all (why bother?) and have the rest on Special Edition VHS.
The covers have been uniformly horrible for ages. The UEs were the closest to "classy" that we ever got. |

| I've got all of the first 19 bar FYEO in SE - and the release versions of DAD, CR and QOS (though I didnt buy the latter). As for FYEO - I own the UE because I had it on SE video for so long I didnt upgrade. When I finally wanted to, the 6 month Bond DVD sale had just finished. So I had to get the UE. |

| Blu-ray:
The Casino Royale Collector's Edition. This is probably the best release of any bond film and should be held as the standard. This is why I never bought the Quantum of Solace copy, it's a real step down from the CE release in every way. Even a step down from the UE DVDs.
DVD:
I bought all four UE volumes because at the time the only alternative was purchasing the single disc UE titles. Of course eventually they finally released two-disc editions. :x So that's how I got all of them, I would have only bought selected films if the opportunity was there at the time.
Before going UE I had the SE's of TSWLM, FYEO, LTK, GE (got as a gift) and DAD on DVD. When the UE of OHMSS turned out to be S*** I purchased a SE copy.
VHS:
Just TLD and TWINE. I got the latter as a gift. |

Terrific stuff, my copy is almost worn out. That Annette Stroyberg - she really wanted the role.

| DN -TND VHS This VHS collection is a mix of new artwork covers as well as the official movie poster covers. I bought both cover versions for 3 films, TMWTGG, TSWLM and MR, so that's all 18 VHS plus 3 doubles. Note the first big wave of VHS, released post TLD, covered off DN-TLD. After that LTK - DAD were released individually. I stopped collecting VHS with the release of TWINE to dvd.
DN-DAD on SE dvd plus CR original and CR deluxe 3 disc dvd.
DN, FRWL, TB single disc UE and LALD &FYEO double disc UE ( picked these 5 up in bargain bins as I already had the complete SE collection)
All 13 blu-rays DN, FRWL, GF, TB, LALD, TMWTGG, MR, FYEO, LTK, TWINE, DAD, CR, QoS ( bought all 3, Volumes 1-3, 3 pak collections, plus the QoS 3 pak which included TMWTGG and LTK, and CR individual purchase)
NSNA:original VHS release, plus dvd release, plus blu-ray.
CR67 VHS. I've yet to upgrade this to dvd. May hold out for a blu-ray release.
Totals: 23 VHS , 28 DVD, 14 blu-ray
So basically for a best quality Bondathon I can go with 13 blu-rays and the other 9 films on SE dvd plus NSNA blu-ray.
==Patiently waiting on the remaining 9 blu-ray releases and the QoS deluxe edition blu-ray, although I might just buy a QoS dvd deluxe release, as I don't need additional extras and commentary in blu-ray.

Yeah at the time, it was very hard to track down the DAD VHS, but I found it used in a Blockbuster store somewhere. After DAD, they did not make a CR VHS tape( not that I know), and at that point I didn't want it either. This was all before I got into buying DVDs. |

Interesting as I don't recall seeing either TWINE or DAD vhs. Dvd was well established by the time the TWINE dvd was released in 2000. |

| Good catch Whyte, so I guess my vhs collection isn't complete afterall as I quit buying them at TND.
Yes you are right. I looked it up on Amazon. Both TWINE and DAD vhs editions are for sale and real cheap, The vhs editions stopped with DAD it seems.
I don't recall seeing any TWINE or DAD vhs store displays. Dvd had taken over shelves by 2000 I think. I guess you had to go to the right stores. Now mind you I have no interest in those tapes, so I wouldn't have bought them even if I'd seen them.

| Certain companies' misfortunes seem to be helping my Bond Bluray collection along. I visited a Borders that is closing down and bought TMWTGG and GF on Blu-Ray for %60 off. Their prices to begin with are a bit outlandish, though, so they were still about $15 a piece, but that's still a better price than I've seen anywhere else (except for the closing blockbuster where I bought my other blurays, of course). They had TWINE, and I considered buying it in the half second between me seeing that it was a Bond film and realizing the Bond film was TWINE. I still only have that one on VHS |

| I saw all the Bond blu-rays in the "two for $15.00 bin" today at HMV. It's Bond Blu-ray bargain time.
NSNA was selling for $10.00 - its regular price.
This is killing me as I paid between 17.00 and 20.00 for all my Bond blu-rays.
When the final 9 films eventually come to blu-ray I'm going to hold out for a decent price this time. |

| That's why I just stay patient. I can watch my DVDs and wait for blu-ray to get cheaper.
Or just wait for more Blockbusters to go out of business and sweep down on their Bond films like a vulture... |

Or just wait for more Blockbusters to go out of business and sweep down on their Bond films like a vulture... Good advice I will not be paying more than $9.99 a blu-ray when the Final 9 are released, but then again I will want to grabbing both YOLT and DAF asap to see what they look like in glorious hi-def. I can hold out for the others. There's only a couple more Blockbusters left in my area. I went vulture on the down-the-street store last year. Swooped in and picked clean about 10 titles along with the other neighborhood vultures. It was quite the aninmal kingdom scene. |
