| Only just found out that Sharky was banned. He's obviously now no longer banned. I knew something major had happened, but I assumed that to be M getting pissed off and leaving. All I was told by M was that he was sick of it all and that if I didn't come back to watch over the forum then nobody else would be doing so.
So, what else needs sorting? |

| The Hobo Brosnan avatar seems fitting, Shark. Time to get a nice shave and get back into business. |

| I want to thank Lazenby. for unlocking the ban. If he didn't I'd have to wait till November 3rd. |

| Maybe when someone's banned we put "Falkands" under their name or something. However temporary that 'reassessment' is. |

| LAST POSTTo Whom It May Concern - This Is How It Must End:I guess that I will still sign in occasionally but as for being a contributing member here I'm signing out permanently as I stepped on too many toes on here it seems to me. I succeeded in trying to bring some new members here and I'm glad for that (despite risking my reputation on MI6 Community and receiving a formal warning), but I seem to alienate and annoy too many long-standing members here (though I purposely didn't set out to do that of course as that is not my nature) and so the time has come for me to move on. The forum to me is sadly as good as dead now, despite all of our valiant attempts to alleviate the problem. I hope that in my short time here as SILHOUETTE MAN (since 5 November 2012), then as Dragonpol and then finally more recently as General Yuskovich that I did bring some off-beat discussions on various aspects of Bondology and that at least some of the members here (like the redoubtable Fair-bairn-Sykes) did find them of some interest. Offbeat and arcane topics on all things Bond were my main stock in trade, though I know not many here "got" them as such, and that was no doubt one of my many failings as a member here, along with perhaps being a bit too eager all the time. No one poster can turn around a failing forum; that is a lesson learned. Several different negative experiences over the last year or so on here and on other Bond forums that shall remain nameless have made me urgently reassess what I am doing with my life in my spare time on sites like this and I've come to the reasoned conclusion that I'm too old a bird for this sort of thing and after eleven years of fairly active membership on Bond forums it's maybe time to hang up the Walther PPK (or ASP 9mm, if you prefer). I have much work in terms of writing papers on various aspects to do for my dreaded b**g and I need to put some creative energy into that as well as the work-life balance. I've enjoyed my time here; I was perhaps a bit misunderstood by some members here and no doubt hated by a good few others. In conclusion, I've done my bit, now I think the admins need to do their bit and reform the negative aspects of the forum if there are any (I think censorship is a major one and that's in the Hansard) in order for new blood to fuse with this alternative James Bond message board/forum. I wish the admins all the best for the future in this regard, as well as the mods. Peace be with you all and may the Promised Land of a new forum that attracts new members of the type desired by the majority be easily within your grasp soon. Goodbye and good luck to you all. Please note that I have entrusted the member Blunt Instrument with filling in for me on the task of judging the BondCapCon contest.Sincerely, General Yuskovich (Ret'd). (BaB Member 5 November 2012 - 5 November 2013). LAST POST.
