| I hope no-one thinks that all people on the European continent are of the same cloth. I'm anything but a European fascist, let alone a Catholic... |

I'm anything but a European fascist, let alone a Catholic... Of course not. Only Salome takes me seriously. Everyone else realised I was taking the piss some years ago. |

| Salami loves it when I take the piss. Golden showers are a favourite pastime of my Brusselian overloads, or she tells me. |

No, no, you misheard me. I said my whore moans all the time. Further evidence that Skype is no substitute for Microsoft Messenger. RIP. |

| To be honest the casting of someone who looks and acts like Daniel Craig as Bond was so radical and bizarre that anything goes now so I would not be surprised if a non white actor was cast and the the public would enjoy it. |

| The casting of DC was a bit unorthodox but hardly anything so transgressive and transformational as casting a black actor for Bond. There would be a "blacklash," although how powerful I cannot say. |

| I don't think EON's casting of Daniel Craig was too radical. When first announced, he was apparently "too blonde and too short". Does anyone really care about that now? I never thought about it when I watched SKYFALL. Regardless, the producers made it clear that they wanted to 'return to the source material' and make the films more Fleming-esque. With that in mind, this image compares a drawing of Fleming's Bond and Daniel Craig's first Bond publicity photo for CASINO ROYALE: Not too far off, I'd say. Although, by the time the film was released, Campbell, EON and Co. changed his appearance quite a bit--possibly more inspired by the Jason Bourne flicks, instead of Fleming. The writing is the biggest issue with Craig's films. Luckily, SKYFALL was a big step in the write direction. With Purvis and Wade gone, I hope we'll continue seeing quality Bond films. |

Yeah, a blond Bond is definitely more "radical" than a black Bond... |

| There is a certain amount of irony to self-proclaimed Moore thinking that casting a man with blonde hair is too radical casting. Not directed at Captain Arthurs, more in general with plenty in the CraigNotBond crowd. |

EON will never go that far. They know there's an audience that is not gonna like that for sure! Just as another poster said, "If I bend that much, I'll break". If Bond had black hair and now he's blonde, no matter. It respects at least the "conception" we have of Bond as a white male. Remember the novel Live And Let Die... you can imagine a blonde or black haired Bond there. Now, can you imagine a black Bond there? No, the sense of the novel would not have effect. I think MGW and Babs got some things out of their hands lately: Bourne-Bond for QOS; Gunbarrel misplaced, etc. BUT they know they can NEVER go that far. It'd be the same of making Bond a woman as it was many times rumoured (played by Catherine Zeta Jones), there's something that won't fit! |
