I think it's because, and I might be going out on a limb here, Nolan's films -- despite their sometimes subjective stylings -- display a strong Objectivist outlook.

I'm trying to connect the dots on that one.
Anyway, it's a nice enough poster.

As far as teaser posters go, it's alright. It does what it's supposed to, let everyone knew the Bat is returning to cinemas.

The teaser for TDK was better. So were the fan teasers.

The one that looked like a giant bat flew into a building 9/11 style?
I do like the concept of this new teaser poster.

I thought that was the theatrical poster. I meant this one: http://www.comingsoon.net/nextraimages/postersmall.jpg
This was also interesting, though I'm not sure if it was official: http://angryweb.files.wordpress.com/2008/07/stupidbats.jpg

It was official, but it wasn't used in wide amounts.

Not particularly -- it was pretty standard for a bottleg. The last thing I mentioned in the spoiler was hard to make out.

Damnit, I don't want to see another frakkin' Tumbler! I want a new design.

That's pretty disappointing. I always thought of the tumbler as sort of a prototype Batmobile and that once that was done with Bruce would design a new one specifically made for him instead of looking for another government scrapped vehicle.

If it's gonna be in TDKR... I await confirmation I suppose.
I got the sense that the Tumbler was a once-of-a-kind vehicle, a prototype. I also always wondered why no one who worked on it's development seemed to recognize it.
I've been eager to see what Nolan and Co. would come up with. Some kind of a vehicle made possible by Wayne Enterprises.

Yes, specifically TDK and Inception, in quite a few places. I mean, it's fairly compromised (moreso in Inception) but it's definitely there.

I guess WB is now confident about actually mentioning Nolan's name instead of the often used "from the director of so and so" that was always attached to his films up to Inception.

Based on the glimpse of Catwoman at the end, her costume will be based heavily on her modern comic book incarnation.

The trailer has been posted in HD on the film's Facebook page:
That trailer is slightly different from the one that got pulled off YT. The glimpse of Catwoman seems to have been replaced by a glimpse of Bane.
This trailer is the only one that's not a fake.
So it seems perhaps that Batman has been out of action, and now a threat exists that make Bruce Wayne get back into top shape and into a Batsuit? Well, maybe. Just trying to glean from the trailer.
I can totally see Bane defeating him. Batman making a sacrifice or something.
