Just realized that Don got a black secretary in 1966, the same year Trek premiered with a black woman in the cast.

curiously as I went to view this topic this second I pictured Jon Hamm as Captain Kirk.

I'm waiting for a Trek reference on MAD MEN. :*h*: I'm seeing Megan Draper in a science division miniskirt.

Made me think of Joe Mannix and his sec Peggy, also I believe in 66 or thereabouts. Hamm would be a right fine Mannix (or Bond, or lead in INCEPTION, or pretty much anything else.)

Oh for the days when, if nothing else, you could at least look forward to a Star Trek soundtrack release.

I'm literally not looking forward to this film on any level. I'll certainly see it when it comes out, but I don't really give a shit beyond that.

I'll rip into things about SKYFALL, but I'm really looking forward to it. I'm also really looking forward to THE DARK KNIGHT RISES despite the fact that I'm not over the moon about the other two.

But Trek 12? I have no faith in this movie at all.

I hope this is not true, but there are rumors that Cumberpatch will play Khan. I mean, like, stronger rumors than usual.

Nimoy returning for me is even worse than the rumor of Khan. Senile Spock should have been last seen helping the colonists settle. Why is he necessary again? Let the new cast shine on their own, don't dredge up Nimoy from retirement. :x

And seriously, fuck J.J. Abrams' "mystery box" gimmick he does too much with his movies. They're more frustrating than exciting.
