I own a great deal of unjustly obscure classical music, PC. The classical performance repertoire is sadly limited. I mean, we all love Beethoven, Mozart, Bach, Tchaikovsky, Brahms, Wagner and Dvorak, but come on. There's so much more out there. Fortunately, the recording industry is still doing a very good job of trying to rescue great composers and pieces from the abyss.

PK, I hear you. I get the same sense listening to the radio, always the same, same, same. And movie soundtracks and their use of existing songs. Not much variation there, either. There is a whole world of exciting music spanning generations so yes, a bit pathetic.
