I've heard some people complaining that Bane was hard to understand. Based on that crappy-quality bootleg, it doesn't seem that bad to me.

So I saw the prologue and the new trailer. The prologue didn't get me overly excited; it's an okay scene, but nothing too interesting. But the new trailer definitely caught my attention. Even though I've had my doubts, I gotta say, Hathaway's Selina Kyle is looking pretty good.

This excited me more than the prologue. The shot of the football field collapsing is pretty great.

Will a HQ version be online soon? I watched a little of that, but I wanna wait for better picture quality.

An official version is likely to be online Monday.

Having rewatched the trailer, there's a noticeable lack of Batman. There's Bruce Wayne, Bane and Selina Kyle -- hardly any Batman.

Wonder if that's a reflection of the film (and I would surely hope not based on the story it's supposed to be telling) or a marketing move.

Why would it be a marketing move? "Hey everybody! We all know you hate Batman, so we've included as little footage of him as possible!!"

Nah, it's probably more like Spider-Man 2 or Hulk syndrome, where the pretentious director forgets what kind of movie he's making and so we get 2 hours and 30 minutes of Bruce and 10 minutes of Batman

Sharky, I actually am one of the few who liked Ang Lee's HULK, but compared to the source material, let's be serious -- it's one motherfuckin' pretentious movie.

Because we've seen Christian Bale's Batman in two films already. We haven't seen Selina Kyle/Catwoman or Bane in Nolan's films yet.

If that's Selina Kyle in the mask, then all my doubts about Anne Hathaway are wiped clean. That tone is always how I pictured Selina - slightly amused by what she sees, but she'll lose interest if she gets bored. It's a kind of self-confidence that is easily mistaken for arrogance; she wouldn't lie about anything she has done, but the truth always seems to be slightly more than you can bring yourself to believe.

You picked that up from such a shitty quality video?

What can I say? I was listening closely. It's mostly in Hathaway's tone. And like I said, it's exactly how I pictured Selina in the comics.

Wouldn't that be more Batman Returns' style?

You get a metric shitload of Batman in The Dark Knight. You probably get more of him than anyone else. And yet the marketing campaign revolved primarily around the Joker.

Anyone have a link to both the trailer and the prologue?

The links I was using have been hunted down and destroyed by Warners. I assume the same happened to the people who uploaded them.

I wouldn't recommend watching the bootlegs of the prologue though. None of the ones I've seen do it any justice whatsoever. IMAX or bust for that, I say.

I remember starting to watch a bootleg of the prologue for TDK. But because it was in IMAX, the person with the camera could only catch about a third of the screen at any one time. I gave up pretty quickly, then.
