They announced it in the first week, when it was 3500 posts, pretty much the same as the post count here during that week. Though, given that a large amount of those 3500 posts in the first week at MI6 may have been enquiries/complaints, I'd guess it's dropped off quite a bit since then, possibly even halved if not worse. That said, things were always gonna slow down a bit after all of the stuff going on both here and there during that first week of NuMI6. |

| I would love to see the numbers. I've signed on a few times and have been surprised at the low number of their users being online. I remember even on slow days or odd hours of the night there would still be usually a dozen members. But even know, probably a peak posting time, I signed in and only two users were on. |

I wish some people could handle their own 'loss' with as much dignity as you handle your real loss. You're a credit to this community. What a f*cking cheap shot that is, using a thread about someone's personal bereavement to take a pot at some of us here. And coming from a "Mod" FFS, knowing full well that any of us here could be goaded into responding to that comment, thus potentially turning a thread about personal bereavement into a bitching war. Which none of us have done, which I think says it all as far as "dignity" goes, hence I've posted my opinion on it over here instead. |

Nic's always been a decent fellow. I'm not sure if that's aimed directly at us, but it'd be a shame if it is. Are they finally paying moderators over there or something? |

I can't think of anyone else it can possibly be aimed at. Is us lot complaining about a pile of hard work being lost at all comparable to the loss of loved ones? Of course not. Does that mean we had no right to complain? Of course not. But the two should never be lumped together in that way, as if we don't know what REAL loss is or something. - Mr. Brown wrote:

Yeah. No one here is comparing the loss of Internet forum posts to the loss of a loved one, so I'm not quite sure why they're going down that road in the first place. |

| I'm not convinced that Nic was referring to any of us. Hasn't their issues with us died down now?
The old thread on MI6Classic was full of people who would whine about the tiniest of issues. Remember that chick (or old dude pretending to be a chick) who liked the band Paramour and all she had to complain about... Yeesh. I really think it's those kinds of posts to which he was referring.

The "having a bad day" thread was one of the worst things on Old MI6 for that exact reason. Instead of using it as a support system for people going through tough times, people would post the most insignificant problems that concerned themselves. Stuff like Benny went through deserved to exist in that thread, not "my classmate was being a bitch at me. my life sucks". I hope I never did that sort of thing. Unfortunately, it wouldn't surprise me. I was pretty self centered during my public school years and am still a bit self centered now, though it's not something I try to project through cyberspace. |

| I don't think that comment by Nic was directed at us at all. IMO he was referring to people like Siann007 on the old site who always bitched about school and having to beat people up and stuff. She was really annoying, because it seemed like she posted in that thread everyday. |

| And so it has been a whole month since the destruction of the old forum. I'm no longer as bitter, naturally. But I haven't visited the new site for awhile now, especially since I deleted the bookmark that lead to it. I just don't care anymore because now I consider this my new home. Always the first and last place I visit during my internet browsing. I'm very glad this place has now been opened too so that we can bring in some new blood without being concerned of MI6 lackeys trying to make a fuss, I think those issues have calmed. With that all aside, I stand proudly with the first month anniversary of this forum's resurrection. Cheers mates. |
