Anyway, I heartily approve of the synthwave revival.

Prefer Putin's rendition, but R.I.P. nevertheless.

I'm supposed to be 'chilling' this afternoon because I have a cold, so hot chocolate, blankets, chillout music blah blah blah.

Ah, Nineties Nostalgia. Funny, in hindsight, that white Western kids felt the need to be "radicals" in 1998. Is there something about economic boom times, relative international peace, and Seinfeld that they didn't like?
Take heart, all those yoof-scum are now wearing white collars five days a week.

Had assumed this gig was completely sold out ... a quick look at the venue seating plan today revealed that there were just 2 single seats left (now there's just 1) .

They were recently in Oz to perform at the Aussie Rules grand final. Their repertoire brought back memories of lazy, youthful summers and a time when there was nary a thread of grey to be seen in my nether regions.

I know, Ambler ... such are the realities of modern arena gigs. Friend of mine was interested in that 'double-header' tour that Paul Simon and Sting embarked upon (he said he was enough of a Simon fan to tolerate Sting), but lost interest when he saw the starting price for tickets was around £100.
Pleased to be the source of pube-related nostalgia, CJB .

I imagine you were delighted. Well, perhaps not so much with the male nudity.

Ugh, Charlotte Gainsbourg . I do not get the point of her at all.
There can be no future for us involving any watching of or listening to Charlotte Gainsbourg.
