| Saying something over and over does not make it right. To hear GS tell it, Babs forced Craig to dress up at gunpoint. For all his posturing about this, I am still yet to see definitive proof of his claims. I find it equally viable that Craig - who has a documented history of supporting charitable causes - first heard about the campaign and convinced Dench and Babs to go along with it. Like GS, I have absolutely no evidence to support this theory, and so therefore it is just as good. The difference between GS and I is that a) I'm not hung up on it, b) I'm not the one who is letting his prejudice dictate his actions (since GS clearly despised Babs before that ad), and c) I'm not preaching to the crowd.
Just for once, I'd like to see EON make a film that GS would whole-heartedly approve of. I'm willing to bet that audiences would unanimously agree that the film was a piece of shit. |

No, no. Let him stay. Monkeyballs has just as much right to say what he thinks as I do, and unlike Jacqueline Stewart "aka Jim" over at CBn, not only do I really, honestly, truly believe that unpopular speech deserves protection, I actually happen to like reading it. Having said all that.... To Prisoner Monkeyballs: #1 Since Babs has gone on record as saying she was behind the ad that Dench and Craig did for International Womyns Day (hello!!! She was a Producer on the ad), all of your conjecture about how the advertisement came to be is moot. The facts are what they are and they don't support you in any way, shape, or form. Unlike you, I do have evidence to support my statement: Babs' own words. DO YOUR RESEARCH. Don't waste my time getting me to do what you should have done in the first place. The genesis of that advertisement is well-documented and the idea belonged to Babs, not Daniel and not Judi. #2 Even if it had been Daniel's idea, Babs owns the franchise. Her word is the final say. It's her decision to prevent Bond from being used as a political prop or from being whored out to various charitable causes. #4 *IF* Jacqueline Stewart had the balls to let my posts remain for people to read over at CBn (even if he banned me), you would read nothing but my praise for Barbara Broccoli, calling GE - DAD the best, most entertaining set of four consecutive Bond films in a row. She even got a ton of praise from me for having the balls to go against conventional wisdom and pick Craig for CASINO ROYALE, turning it into an unqualified smash hit, even though neither Craig nor CR are my preference. In this case Barbara Broccoli has more balls than Jacqueline Stewart, so I'll give her props for that. You can't read my posts over at CBn because Jacqueline's manhood is too threatened by speech and ideas that are contrary to his, so he banned me without warning. #3 But I'm not going to pretend like she hasn't crossed a line with that ill-conceived ad using James Bond in a dress. I won't stand for it. While I think she got away with minor changes in the Brosnan era because it started while Cubby and Dana were still alive, Bab's imprimature is all over the Craig-era, and her tendency to inject anti-American/anti-West/feminist theory into the series has now been fully exposed. I'm all for forgivin' and forgettin' because that was how I was raised, but you can only push a man so far. Babs has pushed too far. She's turned Bond from a rooster into a hen with the stroke of a pen, and I for one and getting sick and tired of it. And by "sick and tired of it" I mean I'm loving every minute of it and can't wait to continue to whine, gripe and complain from now until November 5th. |

| PM is oblivious to this forum's tone and style. Many of us have tough jobs and come here for a bit of banter. His rivet-counting approach to Bond is the antithesis of all that. It's also plain wrong. Bond is tits and arse. It's pulp.
PM completely ignores the mentertainment angle that is integral to Bond. As far as I can see, his only observation here on the subject is that this forum has a 'lenient attitude to sexism.' Well, fuck that for a game of soldiers. There are plenty of places he can find the mind-numbing bores more to his liking. |

EON has made films that Gravity whole heartedly approved of, and they were box office smashes: DIE ANOTHER DAY, MOONRAKER, OCTOPUSSY, THUNDERBALL. Gravity also thinks highly of THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS, but the audience? Not so much. |

When I read this, all I can see is "PM is wrong because he disagrees with me." However, I cannot find a single instance "Ambler is always right" anywhere on the forums. Except in your own self-aggrandising posts, of course. So, show me where it is written in the forum rules that I must always and unequivocally agree with you or else become some kind of social paraiah, and I'll acquiese. Ironically enough, I was invited to join BAB because I was disenfranchised with MI6's " X is always right, and so you must always agree" policy. I was told that BAB was created to escape just such tyranny. And yet here I am, witnessing it tenfold from someone who supposedly embodied everything that MI6 should have done right I am amused, but also slightly bored by you. |

| Maybe I've been too harsh on you, Prisoner.
It’s just it’s hard for me to forget the time that you - without a single professional writing credit - hijacked MI6 to demand that EON hire you to write B23. Some might call that self-aggrandising, but not me.
I’d say it was the rantings of a self-deluding c unt.

| Well, at least this argument is a lot more entertaining than the multiple-page argument at CBn over the use of cranes. |

Well, that's really why I never take any of your criticisms against me personally. I revel in it, quite honestly. But I do think you take criticisms of Babs Broccoli personally, as if someone is insulting you or speaking disparagingly of you. And while my tedious criticism of Barbara may appear with all the inevitability of an unloved season, so does your counter-criticism. I guess what I'm trying to say, Prisoner Monkeyballs, is that it wouldn't hurt to remove the applicator every once in a while. Prolonged exposure can lead to something doctors call Toxic Shock Syndrome. As far as I'm concerned it's all good around here. It's butter, baby. It's gravy. |

Nonsense. It was one of the great social experiments of October 29th 2011. |

| I'll never forget Prisoner Monkey's reaction to my negative review of INCEPTION. He claimed that I had walked into the theater wanting to hate it, until I provided him with a link to a post on my [defunct] blog that expressed my excitement toward the film's release. He also told me to leave M-i-something-or-other, because nobody cared about my opinions.
Now all of you sons of bitches are subjected to those opinions once again. My apologies.
Anyway, I'm pretty sure "Skyfall" is some sort of sex toy that M uses before Bond kills her and F***S her dead body. |

More like the European pointing out the obvious, namely that no one but you two is interested in your constant bickering and if you two could please, please take it to PMs. |

That's funny, because I only remember the first half of it. I'd say that by the time you posted that link - which I never followed, because I never saw it - I'd already gone to sleep for the night, and by the time I re-joined the conversation the following day, the discussion had moved on and I was in no mood to revive it. |

or at least a seperate thread, this is for Skyfall after all. I guess I'm a nobody, but I enjoy reading the bickering. I must come from a different school of thought. My view is that unless someone is posting classified materials, private photos/personal information of someone else, or child porn, a thread/topic should be allowed to collapse upon itself like a quasar of dark matter, or a hurricane that has spun itself out of energy. Abruptly killing a thread doesn't make the bad blood go away. A thread should die of natural causes; organically. It's not as if a new Skyfall thread strictly for people who don't like one another to argue in would contain the animosity. It's going to spill over in every forum and in every thread. B&B is easily the edgiest and most funnest of any of the Bond forums that I haven't yet been banned from. If I wanted a safe, sanitized experience reading the forums I'd stretch a condom over my keyboard. |
