Arrow have been bringing the goods lately, it seems. My first experience with them was their dreadful disc of ROME, OPEN CITY, which was absolute garbage. But their RIFIFI and OBSESSION Blu-rays have been top notch, and I'm gonna settle down tonight and watch their BICYCLE THIEVES and LES DIABOLIQUES Blus (which, from a glance once they arrived, look a little soft but still generally excellent).

Indeed. Haven't seen their RIFIFI release, but I've seen OBSESSION and LES DIABOLIQUES. I think they were handled extremely well, matching Criterion's quality. It's nice to have another serious player in the "specialty" DVD market.

I wasn't able to see the box art for OBSESSION, however. Did you? If so, what style poster did they use for the reversible sleeve?

I've got the OBSESSION Blu-ray coming one of these days. Possibly tomorrow.

Judging on your past reviews of other De Palma flicks, I think you're going to really like it.

De Palma, Cliff Robertson, John Lithgow, Paul Schrader, Vilmos Zsigmond, Paul Hirsch, and Bernard Herrmann--you can't go wrong with that group of talent.

I look forward to reading your thoughts on it.

There are five covers you can use - four on the sleeve, and the cover of the screenplay book (which is the standard American poster art). The others are as follows:

I think the screenplay book has that artwork, and you can thus put it in the 'window' of the package. Tux is in a better position to check though, since I don't have it with me currently.

If he hasn't thrown it on Ebay yet.

It's got something very much like it.

I don't plan to sell it, though. I might appreciate it more on repeating viewings.

I suspect not. There's a very vague chance that LIFEBOAT may be, since Fox has occasionally let MoC release their titles region free (SUNRISE comes to mind), but I wouldn't bet on it.

Very nice! Wish they were region free, though. I'd like to have a copy of LIFEBOAT, the film being a great showcase for how to shoot a film in one place while keeping it interesting. I wasn't blown away by THE LOST WEEKEND, but I love DOUBLE INDEMNITY. I suppose my DI DVD is fine for me.
