| The new trailer is here my friends. I'm not sure if I could post the embeded video here, but in the following link you'll see it. Not in the best quality in the world, but at least is something.

| Thanks for the link, Marketto, but it's not worth it. All you can see is the tops of peoples' heads. |

| I love you.
EDIT (after watching): I didn't understand much from the trailer. Some of the scenes were already in the first trailer. I saw the MI6, a train, and many clips with Craig, including him standing in front of (his parents'?) craves. When will the trailer be released officialy online? |

There has been no official word yet. - James Bond wrote:

I don't think this is the IMAX exclusive. I believe the IMAX trailer runs for four minutes. |

Yeah. I think I'll wait for something a bit higher quality. |

| If you read Sharky's posting of trailer comments first, which Monkey Prisoner linked above, then this bootleg trailer version is easier to follow.
I like it. SF is at least going to be an action-packed, and smart spy thriller. It may have its cringe moments, I don't know. It seems Bondian enough. I'm still not hearing the JB Theme though. But it looks like its going to be a good Bond thriller and possibly (hoping) evolve the nu-Bond franchise in the right direction.
Thanks to the ever diligent Marketto for digging that out. I'm happy as I have no intention of paying for TDKR in Imax. |

| The opening sequence in Istanbul and with the train seems custom-designed to feature the Bond theme. What better way to say "Bond is back!" than that? |

Will it be as thrilling as Rog's traintop battle with Gobinda, and Mischka or Grischka (can't remember which one)?! |

Just watched (and listened to) the leak. I can hear it. It's the 3 note chromatic vamp in D minor again. D-F-A => D-F-Bâ™ => D-F-Bâ™® => D-F-Bâ™ |

The first trailer was cut before Thomas Newman had strted scoring it. Just days before it was released, he said he was only at the stage where he was kicking some ideas around. He's probably off scoring the film right now, and having him score trailers would just be pointless because it wouldn't achieve anything. I don't see why the theme is so essential to the trailers, though. It was a common complaint during Arnold's tenure as composer that he over-used the theme. Bond flips his car and shoots a bad guy while upside down? Cue Bond theme. Bond seduces a femme fatale? Cue Bond theme. Bond walks through a door? Cue Bond theme. Now you're all complaining that the theme isn't being used enough. If you ask me, the theme should perhaps be used two or three times over the course of the entire film - and that includes trailers. It should punctuate the big moments, and trailers aren't that big in the grand scheme of things. |

| God forbid the Bond Theme should be used in the trailer for the 50th anniversary film. Wouldn't want people getting the idea that it's a 007 flick and not a generic action movie starring Jason Statham and his grandma. |

| If you think there is a genuine risk of Daniel Craig being mistaken for Jason Statham, I'd say you've got bigger things to worry about than whether or not the Bond theme is included in the trailer.
To hear some people around here tell it, the James Bond theme is the one and only thing that determines whether or not a film is a James Bond film. Personally, I think you're just going out of your way to find something to complain about. As has been widely pointed out, EON have gone to some trouble to keep a lid on the film, and they've done a remarkable job of it so far. But instead of taking a look at the trailer on merit, you're bitching about the lack of a Bond theme. Have you even seen some of the reactions to the trailer? Most people have been overhwelmingly positive about it, especially Severine and the way production has chased and caught the feeling of a traditional Bond film with it.
When it comes down to it, what would you really prefer: a trailer that captures the spirit of the 1960s films, but does not have the Bond theme in it, or a trailer that has the Bond theme, but does not capture the spirit of the 1960s films? And before you say "a trailer that captures the spirit of the 1960s films, and has the Bond theme in it", that's not an option. I know some of you want to have your cake and eat it, too. |

What's so hard about doing both? I mean, if anything, it's the early 60's films that overused the Bond Theme. |

| The ultimate success or failure of the trailer should not depend on whether or not it contains the theme. Yes, the theme is an icon, but look at some of the reactions in the other thread - they're almost entirely positive, and it's not the kind of gushing oh-emm-gee-this-is-so-gonna-be-AWESOME! that usually accompanies trailers. People are genuinely positive for it, and things are standing out clear in the minds even after seeing THE DARK KNIGHT RISES immediately after the trailer (which is a big film and a long and involved film). Personally, I think the fact that the trailer can stand on its own without needing the Bond theme to support it is a real testament to the kind of film that is being made. It's a Bond film, and it's got the hallmarks of a Bond film, but it's not going to rely on the series mainstays for its success - and I think that's the kind of thing that fans have been crying out for since about 1997. |

| The IMAX trailer contains the Bond theme. However, the trailer Marketto posted a link to does not appear to be the IMAX trailer, but a shorter version of it. |

Jason Statham and grandma Mommy-M is lead Bond-girl this time around. We learned that a long time ago. When this film gets released, she's going to get the highest female billing. About the JB theme. I just finished watching MR (what a Bond movie. Craig only wishes he could make a Bond film like MR. Actually that's the problem, he doesn't wish that), the theme is hammered throughout the movie as well as the 007 theme, and it blasts non-stop through one of the best Bond trailers ever made. John Barry knew how to use this music to perfection. I swear some of the music, is familiar from other Barry-Bond films, as if he used the same bits from film to film. No problem. Everything Barry does is da bomb. Our fears regarding the lack of Bond theme are well founded. Neither of the first two nu-Bond films featured the Bond theme in the main film. They both parked it at the end. If Howard is going to put it to use, I'll believe it when I see it. And that gunbarrel better be back at the front where it belongs. :x Enough of this screwing around already! Give us back our Bond! The MR trailer is cut so well, that Rog's fight scenes come across as real violent. Good work as Rog generally fights at about 3/4 speed. - CJB wrote:

 Bravo, there is hope. SF may yet turn out to be a nu-Bond salvage operation. We shall see. |
