Well if its there, its buried so deep, one has to dissect the music note by note to even catch a hint of it.
Nu-Bond (Craig) is clearly determined to distance himself from the iconic Theme, at least during trailers and the body of the films. Very troubling and in the 50th anniversary year no less.
What drives this man? One wonders.
That scene with Craig and Wishaw. Don't like it. It didn't script too bad, but the presentation seems rather forced, not to mention lame.
This film will work as stand-alone action film, but its also going to have the nu-Bond Craig stamp all over it., which is hardly surprising. Leopards, spots and all. All might be forgiven if the Theme prominently finds its way back into the film and the gunbarrel returns to its proper place. Otherwise, Craig might be dismissed as rebel without a clue.

I think of the questions raised above by M, these three in particular are very appropos.
1.Are the producers ashamed of or tired of the theme?
2. Does a theme so well-associated with the colourful and fun Bond romps of yesteryear now have no relevance within the context of a series now determined to be tough and serious?
3.Is the theme now little more than a grudgingly added piece of fan-service relegated to a point in the film where most of the audience have already left the cinema?
The answer I fear is "yes" to all three.

We haven't heard the score yet for this one so it's a bit presumptuous to make those kinds of statements. Plus, neither the trailers nor the music for them are made in-house, so who's to say that it's the producers who decided how to score it?

Well the producers seemed to manage to get the theme into previous trailers. It's not a stretch to suggest that producers, those most invested in the film, might have input or oversight into the the production of trailers, so important to the marketing of their film.
Plus nu-Bond is 2/2 in not featuring the Theme prominently in its films, so nothing presumptuous about suggesting the pattern might continue.
Why are non-Imax Bond fans being treated like second class citizens? Why are Imax theaters getting the trailer but the regular audiences are not?
We need Congress to pass a Trailer Equality Act, which would force studios to make their trailers accessible in all formats, to all groups of customers, at the same time.
But I must say, this trailer looks and sounds pretty sweet.....for a bootleg.

Any particular reason why the trailer hasn't been released properly on the internet by EON yet? FFS, this is the age of mobile phones with video cameras, are they actually trying to "restrict" the trailer to those who pay for IMAX tickets?
Then again, I won't watch the trailer until I can see it in its proper state, so I guess it's working...

Because it's an exclusive to IMAX.

It's believed a shortened version will be attached to the TOTAL RECALL remake next week.

No, that's the new theatrical trailer, featuring dialogue with Silva. I think the only person who's seen that is Zencat over at Cb.n.
It's not any shorter than the IMAX one, if you cut out the later's "this is an IMAX SKYFALL exclusive" disclaimer, and so on.

Lots of excited mutterings from the other forums about a new trailer dropping later today. Someone claims to have an e-mail from EON saying it will be released at 2:30pm GMT.
I wouldn't know. I haven't ventured into the IMdB for a while now, since my tetanus shots aren't up to date.
For the record, this is the post in question. I was mistaken in that it was MGM and not EON who send the purported e-mail, but the song remains the same. I see thecasinoroyale fell for it, if it is indeed to be fallen for, but then he always did believe everything was told.
That said, the reported date was 6:30am BST, Tuesday.
Are you sure? He says 6:30am PDT / 2:30pm BST.
And yes, now I see the Tuesday thing. I'm all mixed up because I usually work on Mondays and I didn't get called in today, so I don't really know what day it is.

My mistake. I think that would be 12:30am Wednesday for you.
Hi, I'm translating the trailer in italian but I don't understand 2 phrases: the girl at 0.59 the boy at 1.39 thanks so much for your help, the video is:
If this bootleg trailer is in any way even the slightest indication of the quality of the film that we'll be getting, then I have a few things to say here and now:
#1 BEST BOND FILM EVER #2 Everyone creatively involved with this film should be brought back for the next one. Don't let Mendes and Deakins get away. Give them whatever control of the franchise they want, but just get it done.
The action looks stunning. I mean, really, truly stunning. And *REAL*.
Liked Craig adjusting his cufflinks...like Craig winking right as he pulled the trigger on the gun...Craig may actually be cool and interesting in this film.
Also, Severin had a slight resemblance to Xenia in her scene with Craig in the casino(?). The way the hair is swept up into a bun...the black dress....a cigar suggestively held?
I literally felt a tingle going down my spine when watching this. I just had my first Bondgasm in 10 years.
BTW, that's Bardem at the 2:22 mark, but you can only see the bottom portion of his face. Again, they're being coy and mysterious with Bardem's character which I'm hoping means we're getting a great villain in the mold of Blofeld, Dr.No, Odd Job, etc....

Zencat says he features heavily in tomorrow's trailer, including dialogue and a brawl with Craig.
