Yes much better quality leaking. I must say this Craig-Bond guy is growing on me, at least from what I am seeing on this trailer. I do like the way he utters the famous declaration, "Bond, James Bond"
This movie will make lots of money. The franchise marches on. It looks like a big improvement over the last film. Audiences I don't think will have much to bitch about. Us Bondaholics will of course pick it apart, but the general moviegoer will happily lap this up, I humbly predict.

Love the way Dan casually shoots his cuffs as he steps aboard the torn-open rear of the train - that may be his equivalent of Pierce's tie-straightening moments.
NSNA's trailer didn't have the Bond theme in it either, and it still had me looking forward to release day.

If I remember rightly, that scene in TWINE did not go down well with the fans.

Because it was an unofficial Bond film. Although McClory had the rights to Bond in THUNDERBALL, he didn't have the rights to the Bond theme.

I think it worked just fine, but I'm a little worried about the watch gag on the train here. The tie gag worked because it was in a moment of calm, despite being undewater. But here Bond has just leapt onto a carriage moments before it gets torn apart. I know it's a crude bootleg, so it's hard to tell from the quality, but it just doesn't seem like the right reaction.

The black man with the goatee in silhouette at the 1:23 mark...is he part of the titles sequence or just an audience member rudely walking in front of someone trying to bootleg a movie trailer?

Thank you for the brevity of your explanation, PM, since I already knew that. My point was that - like with SF - it isn't just the music that tells me that this is an advert for a Bond film; there is other iconography at work there as well. The JB theme is always the icing on the cake, of course, but the cake is still pretty darn tempting without it.
In the first trailer we got several random flashes of moments from an upcoming film, but watching trailer 2 got me more excited because I realized I was watching scenes from the next James Bond film!
"Despite Bond having been established as 007 at the end of Casino Royale, we still heard very little of the iconic James Bond Theme in Quantum of Solace. Are the producers ashamed of or tired of the theme? Does a theme so well-associated with the colourful and fun Bond romps of yesteryear now have no relevance within the context of a series now determined to be tough and serious? Is the theme now little more than a grudgingly added piece of fan-service relegated to a point in the film where most of the audience have already left the cinema? Did it fall victim to tired overkill in the Brosnan films? Or have the less primal scores from the likes of the Bourne films reduced the Bond theme to little more than a piece of camp trumpetry belonging to a more innocent age of escapism? Will we hear much of the theme in SkyFall? Can Thomas Newman give us a welcome and relevant reinterpretation of it? Or will it once more only really surface when the credits roll? Is the theme still important to Bond and does it fit comfortably with the current tone of the films?"
It does seem that Craig wants to distance nu-Bond from the Theme. Bizzare. Quite troubling actually, his lack of respect for this iconic element of the series. And I do think it is Craig, moreso than Babs, that drives nu-Bond. She rather, facilitates his vision.
