Imagine...this book ends a 50 year run of The Amazing Spider-Man by 'killing' of Peter Parker in issue 700 (released 26 December 2012).
The regular print run sold about 250,000 copies and sold out with a cover price of $7.99.
The harder to find copies are 'variant' covers, like the one below. There are only a few thousand copies at most with this cover...and these were initially being sold at $12 each by Midtown Comics exclusively in NY, although it was available on the online site to others. One per customer.
This did not stop me from acquiring 20 copies...which are now being sold on eBay for prices like this...

I've already made over $1,000 profit selling less than 10 copies..and have most of the others reserved .Not a bad way to start of the New Year.
Interested to know how the rest of you make some extra cash. I love fucking around with comic books....
