I've always wanted to see Brian Blessed as Sir Hugo "Hugger" Drax - I think he would be brilliant as the bearded bombastic loud mouth oaf from the original Moonraker novel.

Also, how about David Walliams as Sol Horror Horowitz and Matt Lucas as Sluggsy Morant in a film version of Fleming's The Spy Who Loved Me (1962). The Penguin reprints show Sluggsy looking very like Matt Lucas, even down to the expression on his face:

Walliams/Lucas would hark back to that age of the Brosnan films. I can't see them fitting into the Craig films. I'm imagining a sort of Eddie Izzard in the Avengers moment.

Yes, but they have both done serious work apart from each other, so why not? I wasn't thinking of the Craig era, but after that.

I simply could never take them seriously as antagonists. If they were the first goons to get shot to death by Bond in the pre-titles, I might be up for that.

Wint and Kidd were are actually funny, Walliams and Lucas are not.

Point taken. I prefer them too. I especially love the black humour of "Well Mrs Whistler did want some pictures of the canals for the children"/"How kind of you, Mr Kidd. The children will be so thrilled." For me, that's the most laugh out loud moment in any Bond film, especially given Mr Wint's grimace. And I don't say that lightly, as I love the literary qualities of the novel and have DAF near the very bottom of my Bond film preference listings.

It's odd that he only had that henchman role in FYEO, wasn't he relatively well known by that point? I think he would have made a good Bond had he been given a shot.

Dance was just a stage actor touring with the RSC at that point. This is before his career took off with THE JEWEL IN THE CROWN.
