Life is good! I'm now working with a production company as a writer and producer who have a few feature films in development, including my own. We should be getting funding for two projects in December and getting names attached very soon. Plus, I'm meeting people I'd never thought I'd meet. Everything is going well.
AND a few weeks ago, I posted in the 'bad day' thread about my Nonno being told he only had a few days to live... Well, the Doc was wrong and he's still kicking :D

I just passed the 7,000 comic book mark. Mr. Dog is hooked on PunisherMax.
And the icing on the cake...thanks to some advantageous auctions (in my favour) on eBay....I turned just over $600 in purchases into $2,000 in sales. Made a cool $1,400 in one hour on a Friday afternoon....

Good Work Mrs A. :) Maybe you can help me unload my massive baseball and hockey card collection someday and my complete Remo Williams, Destroyer pulp novel collection. Just kidding. I wouldn't wish the task of sorting out all those cards on anyone.

Just checked my e-mail and realized I won a free classical box set from Naxos, as part of their 25th anniversary giveaway.
Wow.

I just got word from a school division I interviewed with last week that I've been accepted as a substitute teacher.

I successfully negotiated what I was willing to pay for a book, citing my reasons why (most of them being bullshit, I just felt I could save a hundred bucks and countered his sales-pitch with my sales-bitch). The seller was made very aware that I was willing to pay cash too.
Paid for the book, then resold it and made more than what the original dealer wanted...easiest $ I made this week.

I got two of my wisdom teeth out on Friday. It hurts, but why am I posting in the good day thread? I've rented movies and intend on watching them. I've watched four already, and will continue to watch more today.

Some end of year luck...bought several of those money scratch cards and one of them got me $5,000. Not bad on a $20 'investment' :face:

Happy birthday, Sharkus. Seems you're getting younger - a portrait in the attic perhaps?
BTW, Santa likes old codgers. Give it another 20 years and I'm sure she'll have a birthday present for you. Just a shame I won't be around to see it: your mobility scooters locked together would be a sight to behold.

I added two years onto my real age when I joined MI6, and kept up that lie until fairly recently. I feel like a right toyboy, ensnaring poor old ladies.

That's a terrible thing to do. I'd never lie to a lady.

I always knew you never thought of me as a lady :D
Happy belated birthday, Shark!
I'm off to Scotland tomorrow night for a week. Given my tendency to go weak in the knicker elastic for a Scottish accent (I blame Midge Ure) I anticipate a fun week in Edinburgh :bounce:
