I technically finished a few weeks ago but I only got my final results back today ... thus the idea of ending struck me today.

A very good female friend of mine gave me a limited-to-500 framed QOS mini-poster surrounded by cells from the film and a Certificate Of Authenticity on the reverse side for Christmas yesterday.

Bless her, talk about knowing me well ... she's such a sweetheart, damn shame she's married.

After a though two weeks of being sick and being to neurology in the hospital twice, It turns out I had a nasty virus and not a stroke as they feared. (Those MRI's do make a shedload of noise & how many tubes of blood do they really need :affraid: )

The missus and family are relieved. Now only a few hours before I can get rid of that hartmonitor (24 hour measuring). ANd then is Christmas.

I just returned from my three day trip in Vegas, first time I ever went there. Had a lot of fun. I wanted to find baccarat tables but as I feared there were practically none, at least in the casinos I visited. I'll definitely have to do more research on my next trip. Still, at least I scored big on craps. Put in $20 and ended up with $174, my first gambling experience. Had a good streak rolling in the right numbers but luck can only last so long. Next time I'll put more than $10 dollars worth of chips and see how far I go. Hopefully I'll get so good one day a big busty lady will tell me "you handle those cubes like a monkey handles coconuts".

Today has been mostly good news. My doctor called and said the insurance department came to an understanding with him about a drug prescription I need, so I'm good to go! Now THAT is responsible medicine and healthcare! Certainly won't get that under ObamaCare, so I hope the Supreme Court strikes all of parts of it down.

But my bestes piece of news is that the illegial aliens that managed to live next door for the past few years are now being sent home to Honduras. THANK GOD!!!!!!!!!! I've even thank President Obama! They're leaving and they're taking their vicious attack dogs with them. I loved their little kids, bless their hearts, but they were here illegally, and now they've run out of options and told us they'll be leaving by August. Oh oh happy day!!!! Can't tell you how many phone calls I've had to make to the Animal Control department to come get their vicious, deadly dogs out of our back yard or front door. I hope the whole family gets deported.....and their little dogs to.

Just got back 2 hours ago (now 02:42 over here) from that Radio 1 gig. Nicki Minaj, Example, Nero, Dappy, Jack White, Kasabian and the highlights - Jay-Z and Kanye West. I fucking love hip-hop. With a few exceptions, an awesome crowd.

Couple of girls got to ride on my shoulders, had a pint of Stromberg, some other beer I stowed away in a plastic water bottle, and some cocktail called "Olympic Ucks", and avoided some psychopathic c u n t who was shoving his fat girlfriend's elbows into me, causing me to push into others. He blamed me, saying I shouldn't be where I was (I was pretty close to the stage and cameras) because they were there 3 hours ago. Two guys had enough of the dumb fuck so they threatened him. He left the place beating his hysterical girlfriend (no doubt abuses her behind doors as well) like the coward he was.

No sense in getting into a fight with a sIck bastard like that. Even if you knock him out, he'll want revenge with a pair of pliers, or sue you, or something.

And I ordered some new glasses tomorrow. Which I'll feel better about when they arrive. Right now, I'm still bleeding internally from the £300 price tag.

I went to lunch with an old friend today. Neither of us had been to the restaurant before, so the food was so-so. But it was nice seeing and talking with her. I haven't seen her in years.

Didn't know where the hell to post this, so I guess this works.

Today, I met and chatted with William Guyon, a retired CBS cameraman and technical director. He spoke of his work with his close friend Walter Cronkite, his work on Studio One (which he won an Emmy for), his work in the White House with JFK and LBJ, and his early work as a war photographer (which he won multiple military commendations for, too).

Truly inspiring fellow and extremely generous, considering he took time to sit down with me in his own home (his wife was a kind lady, as well) for an hour or so to share his experiences. I was even lucky enough to see a 12 minute reel of film from his film work in Japan during World War II.

Here's a small photo that I found online of him at the White House with JFK. He's the man in the background with his arm leaning against a stand or a chair:


I was able to see the actual print of that hanging on a wall at his house, as well.

Next summer, or even in the spring, I'd like to do a short documentary about him and his career.

You travel in impressive circles Brown. Not bad. The guy worked directly with JFK. Good work! Re the doc, anything that connects with such an iconic historical figure as JFK, is bound to get attention, although I realize the focus would be on the man himself.

Yeah, I think his stories/experiences would seem interesting to just about anyone. He had quite a career.

I'd also like to do the documentary for historical purposes. Unfortunately, great men and women like this won't be around much longer, and their experiences can't fade away with them. Preserving their experiences should be a duty of the younger generations.
