| Yes, not too shabby though as long as it's an improvement on QOS I won't mind the release date. Still...*yay Britain* |

Not worth it mate. Just watch it on YouTube, so you won't have to put up with LOLZ assholes sat in front of you letting their mobiles ring and texting one another throughout the film. Plus, on YouTube you can simply skip all the M scenes. ;) |

| I'm amazed this has been announced when we still don't know of any cast confirmed (other than Craig), or if the script has even been finalised. |

| Whoa! I got to wait two weeks after its out in England? Has this happened before?I'm a first day guy, have been since forever, or at the very least a first weekend viewer.I won't be able to sit still for two weeks, knowing the film exists in the world. That will mean for the first time in forever, there might be a two week period where I can't say I have watched every Bond film.Meanwhile some casual film going schlump in London will have a better knowledge of the Bond films, than I do, for two weeks anyway. If it really sucks, I want to be on it right away, cursing the day Mendes was conceived, Babs was born etc. Someone tell me this nightmare scenario is not true. |

You speak my mind. It hurts a lot, doesn't it. But, if I can convince my parents to let me go to London for the 50th anniversary Bond film (it's my last year of secondary schooling then, but I think that'll be a study week for exams, so I'm guessing that I'll be allowed to study on the plane!). |

| You're dreaming if you'll be allowed to head to London to watch a film thatll be on (in all likelihood) a day or two before your English exam. ;) |

IIRC, both CR and QOS were released elsewhere earlier than in the States, so during the interim, I abstained from MI6. Wanted to go into the theater as blind as I could reasonably be. |

| According to IMDB, Kuwait were showing Casino Royale as early as November 14th (the same day as the London Premiere), whilst the first UK and US screenings were on November 16th and 17th respectively.
As for Quantum Of Solace, France, Sweden and the UK had their general release on the 31st of October, whilst the US had to wait until November 14th! |

| You would think that in the age of the internet, torrents, and spoilerific reviews a Bond film would be released in North America within days of the European release. One week I could handle, but two? Sony will only have themselves to blame if Bond still won't be able to break the $200 million mark in North America. |

| Actually, I think this might be the first time Canada has been subjected to such an indignity. I definitely saw QoS in October in 2008. We got the early release and I don't recall any delay with CR either. Prior to that I can't say I was paying attention to anything other than local releases. |

| Who cares? After such along absence the real test for James Bond is whether Dan Craig is still as popular as OO7. After the dismal QOS he may have scared too many people away. They'd better come up with something that has the appeal of CR without being a copy of that film. Otherwise we're going to have a flop and Bond could be off the market for a longtime. |

| I doubt it will flop, no Bond film has. If EON plays their cards right with the marketing and hype then it'll work out. QOS wasn't the end of the world anyway. |

| I was listening to Jon Favreau's Directors commentary of Iron Man 2. He made a few Bond references in the first hour alone. He likened Downey Jr descending from the skies, emerging from the Iron Man suit in full formal wear to Sean' s shedding his wet suit for a tux. Not to mention all the girls populating the Expo party that Tony Stark was hosting. He's a fan of the Bond films. He draws inspiration from the tone and style of Bond but then he took pains to make a distinction between the old Bond films and the new ones, which he called edgy and more serious. He was politely trying to say it was the older films that inspired and not the newer ones. |

| Great strategy by the studio if they want to lose money at the North American box office from people that choose to download it illegally instead of going to the theaters. |

That's what I said when QOS got the same deal. But then it became the biggest domestic weekend opener for the series. So you never know. |

I still think we're gonna get Craig's TWINE with Bond 23, on pretty much every level. It will dumbassedly try to balance silly OTT (not to mention CGI) action and gadgets with some kind of "big and emotional" soap opera storyline (probably revolving around M to some extent no doubt, this being Dench's show just as much as Bond's now, lest we forget), and EON are still employing the two worst writers you could possibly have on your books when it comes to marrying these elements together. Just thought I'd post that opinion on this site for posterity, having already voiced my concerns about this a million times over at the now-destroyed MI6. |

| If I were M, I still wouldn't trust this Bond. You can never be too careful. I think Bond 23 should be primarily focused on resolving the Bond/M trust issues once and for all. Can't have that dilemma dangling loose ends. Until Bond and M are sitting face to face arguing over who trusts who more, I can't really believe they don't still have trust issues. Sam Mendes is just the man to tackle this assignment. Bond fans need this issue firmly and unambiguously resolved. Only then can the gun barrel go back to the front of the film and the JB theme get full play in the film. |

That was already settled in QOS. |
