I read it. I read it again. It took about three or four readings before it registered, or clicked, with me and that I realized Friedman was apparently not exaggerating something but actually making reference to something that happens in the movie. Yay for Babs Broccoli!!! She must be so proud of herself! She's

Friedman got his facts wrong, though. Desmond Llewelyn was the longest running actor with the series....by a huge margin....35 years...nearly double Dench's contribution. Dench has only been associated with the series since 1995 and GOLDENEYE. That means 17 years.
My initial conclusion matched yours, but then about a minute later I figured he meant CONSECUTIVE appearances ... since Des missed L&LD, there is a gap. But even if you throw out his pre-GOLDEN GUN appearances, he still appears in more between 1974 & 1999 than Judi, so it is still a goof on Friedman's part.

It's not just Llewellyn who beats Dench's run. Bernard Lee spent 17 years in the M role (same as Dench), and appeared in 11 consecutive Bond films. Lee beats Dench due to the amount of consecutive films (Dench has appeared in 7). Lois Maxwell went even further as MP, making 14 straight appearances over a whopping 23 years.
Maybe Friedman simply meant to imply that Dench is the longest-running current Bond film actor.

I checked Kurylenko's IMDB and didn't see it as a good sign that her recent entries included a TV show I had never heard of and a movie that had been shot in Belgium (of all places) that I had never even heard of either.
At this rate, she's about 2-3 years removed from doing softcore features.
Doesn't seem to be that bad, SEVEN PSYCHOPATHS was just released.
I take it back. Just saw the flick today. She's in it for three minutes before somebody guns her down. Poor girl needs a new agent. Very odd that they would feature her on the poster with billing.

The NY premiere has been postponed till November 5th. That's all I could get from Roger Friedman's horribly crafted story. I can't tell from his article whether or not the film's talent will be able to show up. He makes it sound like SONY was having trouble getting all the big names to New York at the later date, but then Friedman's thoughts just sort of wander off into something about the Tribeca Film Festival, which nobody gives a spit about.

I think he was talking about how the SKYFALL NYC Premiere was supposed to include a fundraiser for Tribeca.

Bootleg footage of varying quality. I like the first two Shanghai ones best, with the diffuse glow setting accidentally left on. Roger Deakins meets Geoffrey Unsworth circa 1970.

I know the Skyfall writers had a few issues with the final act, and that originally the film was to explore M's time during the Cold War (opening with M as a 00 agent herself) but this is interesting.
However, instead of Javier Bardem’s rogue agent Silva wanting revenge, a past affair that a young M had with a KGB agent during the Cold War would have come back to haunt her. This dirty secret in her closet would have led M to be blackmailed by the bad guys. She still died in the original script – but, in an eyebrow-raising final twist, it was Bond who killed her, forced to do so in order to protect the integrity of the British secret service.
Very TMWTGG-esque having Bond kill M. I do think this could have worked very well, too.

There is a Golden Gun vibe there, but Peter Morgan may have been riffing off The Sandbaggers episode, 'Is Your Journey Really Necessary?' as well. It's on Youtube if you're interested.

With his track record, either way she'd end up dead.
