| I posted in your Eve/MP link too. Caught it after checking out this thread. Actually I agree with you. I think its quite possible. It all fits. I'm down with a younger male M. Actually I was never bothered by a older female M but did she have to be such a ball-breaking , trust-issue obsessed bitch. Dench M is a terribly conceived character. One moment she's breaking Bond's balls, then she's supporting him, then castrating him again. Any new M will be an improvement on Dench M. I can't even really blame her. Purvis and Wade have written her character all over the map. The word "misognynist", should never have been allowed in a Bond film. Its been all down-hill with M and Bond ever since. But this film, as many have speculated, could be the grand-exit death of Dench M, with the film ending with Fiennes as new M, Harris as the new MP and Wishaw as Q. Then again maybe Fiennes is Blofeld. Who knows? This whole film might be about introducing new M, MP, Q and Blofeld, thus setting the table for years to come. I hope Craig can clean-up for filming. If I didn't know better, I'd guess Bardem was Bond, based on this picture. He looks more like Bond than Craig does. . |

I think her character has been "all over the map" because she's been up against not only two different actors, but two different variations on Bond, yet her M was supposed to be the same M. I liked her opposite Brosnan, not so much against Craig, but that's not her fault. I do think her weakest moment came at the end of TWINE when she was suddenly written as an airhead, unable to realize Bond was porking Dr.Jones on a Turkish rooftop. - Quote :

I haven't seen or heard much of Bernice Merlot at the press conference, but I'm at least glad to see that SONY has put the va-va-voom back in the Bond Girl. Green and Kurylenko were attractive, but I thought Green was a bit too thin and pale. At least Merlot has a nice rack and some curves. |

| Yes, it looks as if she's put some weight on for the role. Other images show her look rather thin. Her curves are most welcome. |

Craig never looks comfortable in a tie imo, but his pallour was quite grey I thought, kinda unhealthy which doesn't help. |

Forgetting Caterina Murino? |

To be honest, yeah. Not that she wasn't nice to look at, but there was a time when the Supporting Bond Girl role had a bit more screen time. Gemma Arterton and Caterina Murinno's roles were all too brief. |

Forgetting Caterina Murino? Eva Green also had quite a supple chest. |

| Not a fan of the Skyfall title at all. Bleh.
Other than that, I'm fairly optimistic. Having Bardem and Fiennes in the cast can't hurt at all, and I trust Mendes. Looking forward to next year :-) |

| If Eve is Moneypenny's origin story, then why would they make her a field agent first? It wouldn't really make sense for her to take a mundane desk job with her experience as an agent. Unless she gets injured in SKYFALL or something and is forced to do so...? |

This doesn't go that far.... Thanks for that link. I did find it odd that Craig jumped in and answered the question, directed to Babs and MGW, about how the financing came together to get the film made, rather than let Babs or MGW answer it. Instead Craig used the opportunity to give big props to Mendes and Babs, for "making it happen". Notice he leaves out MGW. With no follow-up question, we basically got no answer to the original question, other than the chance to watch Craig stroke both Babs and Mendes; like those two need any more stroking. They do a great job rubbing-down each other. Meanwhile MGW seems to no longer be at the cool-kids table. |

| I also noticed an awkward vibe at the presser, especially in Babs' attitude. I haven't seen many videos with her, but here it really struck me how cocky and controlling she seems. Mendes, Craig, and Bardem (and not to mention the Bond franchise) are really like toys for her to play with. Where indeed is the Wilson of old, the one who co-wrote so many fine scripts decades ago? If he's losing interest in it all, I don't blame him though. |

You said a mouthful. I picked up on MGW's body language the first day and mentioned it. Also interesting to notice that, whether intentional or simply subconsciously, he's put at the farthest end of the table where it feels like he's an outsider looking in. |

| That "press conference" was a complete waste of time. They could have sent out a press release for the things they ended up confirming, all of which we already knew, rather than trotting the press out there to simply tell them "we can't tell you anything". |

| Going back Babs and Michael... It all seems a bit contradictory though, especially given how the former was holding on to his arm and shoulder when they walked in. As if she needed guidance. And then she appears to completely control everything... |

I thought she was holding on to him because he was....well, older. He'll be 70 in January. Time waits for no man. She's only 51. |
