The pilot episode of The Fall Guy. Looks like a fun series.

Make sure to watch the episode where Colt Seavers is in Hong Kong working on a Bond film called Always Say Always with Lana Wood(Plenty O'Toole), Britt Ekland(Goodnight) and Joanna Pettet(Mata Bond). It also features an homage of stunts to "Nobody Does It Better."

Last TV showed I watched: Burns & Allen on Antenna TV.

Sounds great, thanks for the tidbit PKK. Any idea which season that takes place? Just so I know when to look out for it. :)

Season 3, right towards the end. The final five or so episodes. So if ITV4 show it continiously without breaks...late September/October

Matt Houston: Get Houston. Houston battles a psychotic old enemy(played by Chuck "The Rifleman" Connors). Bond series veteran Don Stroud(Heller in LTK) plays an escaped convict in this episode.

Life on Mars (UK version)

What makes this series? Gene Hunt oh so much, but much love has to be given to John Simm and his puppy dog eyes/

rather than clog up the Film Score threads etc...what I did indeed watch all the same

BBC Proms: Film Music Night

the Hermann scores, the Walton piece then unfortunately/fortunately pending on your viewpoint they keep talking to David Arnold just before the John Williams works (of course, Star Wars). Arnold going on about keeping it going on (himself, Bond music-wise), keep it in the modern age and keeping it like Barry's music. My taste in film music's iffy but if the last few scores were Barry-esque call me Gunga Din.
I like Star Wars but it would be nice to hear 'lesser' works. Paper Chase, Towering Inferno, Poseidon Adventure, Sugerland Express, etc. Still nothing like hearing these pieces done by an orchestra or rather, seeing it in action on screen. Becoming more of a fan of the Princess Leia Theme with every passing listen. Schindler's is all the same somehow heartbreaking.
The Harry Potter stuff always reminds me of Hook.
Trouble is, back to Arnold we go.
Bennett's Murder on the Orient Express Suite was a delight.
And then into the John Barry Tribute. Out of Africa...shivers down the spine. Then onto this Bond tribute (headed "John Barry and David Arnold: The Music of James Bond") opening shots of FRWL's theme, a sublime rendition of OHMSS (well...), Space March, 007 Theme, Goldfinger (instrumental), yet segues into You Know My Name...

not so much Barry tribute but a bit of Barry...and Arnold

...always weird hearing YKMN as a 'classy' instrumental. Yet somehow could picture this kind of sound to a George Lazenby fight scene. Something from CR or QOS that just sounds anonymous yet we get "Bond...James Bond" from CR which is recognisable at least.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b0137tj9/BBC_Proms_2011_Film_Music_Night/

the iplayer does allow a download option but A) don't know if it'll work outside UK and B) only lasts on your computer 30 days or some such.

John Barry's part is about 1h49 in.

overall, not too bad. And thumbs up for Bond theme regardless.

You can't beat the banter between Clarkson, Hammond and May, even if most of it is scripted.

We found something on BBC America called THE HOUR, and I had no expectations whatsoever.

After a quarter-hour, I was thinking back to how much I loved the first few minutes of HILL ST BLUES, and thinking this was MAD MEN meets Lynch by way of BROADCAST NEWS. Nice to hear Dominic West not having to play American.

All of the show's 'Moneypenny' references for 1956 makes me think Fleming must have been catching on much faster than I believed.

We're not going to have cable much longer, but I think I'm going to be crying when that happens, because I am HOOKED on this show after one episode.

Context. Watch the show and see the context. The silent looks tell a lot more than the dialog, which sometimes plays against actual character intent. The intercutting of disparate events was cinema worthy, and together with SPOOKS and LUTHER it almost makes me think I'm living on and watching TV from the wrong continent.

Once again, SUITS on the USA Network, 10pm Eastern time on Thursdays...

I think there are 3-4 episodes to go but the series is a hit and has been renewed for a 2nd season.

reprints of Telegraph articles aside it's not bad but somewhat lacking all the same. Though a little point about the third episode I think it is, it shows a Casino Royale paperback that I'm sure was one of the new prints with a 1950's cover.

There we go. Romola Gari isn't too bad.
