So, they had a bunch of trailer "previews" that basically showed the whole thing already.
I would have thought that just showing the trailer would have been more effective.
It looks... OK. I've thought that other Ridley Scott films in recent times looked good only to be grossly disappointed by the final product, so I'm cautious about this.

There were two teasers for a one-minute trailer... what is the world coming to? Soon there will be teasers of teasers of trailers.

Shouldn't the topic heading be changed? It's no longer coming out in March. It is June.

I hope one day when Mankind can actually travel through space at will and they come across anything unfamiliar and alien, they will have the smart to say:
"I've seen a movie called Alien, we better leave it alone and move on and not let our curiosity get the best of us."
It's been a good week for Trailers: Prometheus, The Hobbit, Dark Knight Rising, etc etc
now it wouldn't even be better if we had a Teaser for Skyfall!!
Is that the Space Jockey?!?

Don't dispear there is enough time yet for such actions.
I came across this 2 1/2 years ago.
I forgot the name of the website and I had since removed the website address from my bookmarks.
In the past 2 1/2 years, I have also changed desktop twice and then moved on to a laptop and switched from IE to Firefox to Chrome.
But I distinctly remembered I'd saved these photos on one of my external hard drives.
I spent 2 hrs going through over 10,000s photos on several external hard drives to finally find these photos which had the website address watermarked on them.
This is what the ALIEN movies would be if they were X-Rated!!
the following images contain full frontal female nudity!!

Except that there's not enough footage to cut a trailer.

here's evidence:
notice the Drive #: H
notice the preview image filename is the same as the thumbnail in the drive and the same as the one in properties
noticed the CREATED date in the properties

click on the 2 overlapping squares at the bottom right of each Individual Photo on the left of the Thumbnails - or click on the photo itself

I'm not asking you to show me how you did it. I'm simply pointing out that, with your tendency to post a glut of over-sexualised images in every thread (even when no-one asked you to), you somehow managed to find something incredibly weird: xenomorphs in bikinis.
So please stop. nobody wants to see your smut.

Um, do I want you to explain this?
Part of me is curious to know what you're talking about. The other part is concerned that it's something I really don't want to know.

If the footage for PROMETHEUS glimpsed in the new trailer was less digitally-graded, I'd probably admire it more.
Still, it's better than THE HOBBIT trailer.

From the looks of PROMETHEUS and what I've heard, I should familiarise myself with H.P. Lovecraft. Especially his later Cthulhu works. A lot of the themes and imagery seems echoed here and in ALIEN.

I love me some Lovecraft. He's really, really pulpy, though, so don't go expecting great literature, even if there is plenty to enjoy in his work. I strongly recommend the short story THE COLOUR OUT OF SPACE and the novella THE SHADOW OVER INNSMOUTH. Very creepy. That said, they're not the most ALIEN-y stories; if you want that, go for something like AT THE MOUNTAINS OF MADNESS.

Meh. Looks like a remake of ALIEN on a bigger budget and with better effects. Which I guess is what it is.

It's not. It's set in the ALIEN universe, but it apparently doesn't influence or alter the events of any of the ALIEN films.

I didn't mean it was literally a remake, but I suspect that that's what it is in effect (bunch of bods encounter strange things in outer space and start dropping like flies until there's only one of them left standing, no doubt).
