| Froze and skipped briefly. Frak.
I'd rather get a replacement for 10 bucks at Target than replace the set again and get a different defective disc on one of the other movies. |

| Ten bucks? Didn't know the individuals were that cheap. Shame about the defective discs. I still haven't come across any yet. |

| Yeah. As for the prices. I just happened to notice them when I was at Target today (got MAD MEN S5 there). The exclusives ones seemed to be 10. The regular ones are 15. In the long run, the set is a much better deal. |

For a long time I never even considered getting all the Bonds on blu, only select titles. But at the price it was, it was hard not to go for it. |

| Well, that was fast. It just jumped right back up to 249.95, the highest I've seen it so far. Glad I got it at 149.99 at least. Consider yourself lucky, Harms.
EDIT: And only a couple of minutes later it's back to 299.99. |

Anyway, I'm very, very glad I got the set for $99. |

| $99.99 That is a good deal, even if you only need the 9 previously unreleased titles. Knocks those down to $11.00 each with the other 13 as bonus doubles.
I'm waiting till next year when the single titles are sure to be going for $10.00 each. That way I will complete my blu-ray set for roughly $90.00. |

| I don't own any of the Blu-Ray releases (I own the full Ultimate Edition set), so this is a very, very good deal for me.
Can't wait to see how this films look on Blu-Ray. I've been hearing good things. Does anyone have any big problems with the quality of certain films? |

| I bought the Bond Blu-ray box set a couple of months ago from Amazon UK, paying just under £90 (about $144), which seemed quite a bargain. To put it into context, Amazon UK is currently selling the Indiana Jones Blu-ray collection for £39.99 (about $64), which consists of four films as opposed to the 22 included in the Bond collection.
I've only got round to watching ON HER MAJESTY'S SECRET SERVICE and THE MAN WITH THE GOLDEN GUN (neither of which was previously available on Blu-ray over here), although I already own and have watched the previously-released Blu-rays of DR. NO, FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE, GOLDFINGER, THUNDERBALL, LIVE AND LET DIE, MOONRAKER, FOR YOUR EYES ONLY, THE WORLD IS NOT ENOUGH, DIE ANOTHER DAY, CASINO ROYALE and QUANTUM OF SOLACE.
You won't regret buying the Bonds on Blu-ray, Harms. In my experience, only relatively few films are really worth seeing on Blu-ray for the evident love and care with which they were transferred to that format. With the likes of the GODFATHER trilogy and 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY, the leap in image and sound quality from DVD to Blu-ray seems akin to the leap from VHS to DVD. I'm happy to report that the Bond films fall into this camp.
The Ultimate Edition DVDs were good, and clearly a step up from the original DVD releases, but Blu-ray makes these films look and sound even better. I remember when I first bought some of the Bonds on Blu-ray I put on my UE DVD of LIVE AND LET DIE and then had a look at the same parts of the same film on Blu-ray, and there was no comparison. The Blu-ray simply blew away the UE. Much crisper picture, showing off little details I'd never noticed before, and brighter colours.
It's been said many times but it bears repeating: Blu-ray truly does make these old Bond films seem as though they were made just yesterday.

| The set shot up to over $340.00 on Amazon Canada on the weekend but now its settled at $219.00.
Amazon has to go thru this little dance I guess: of showing customers that they must take advantage of the early bird specials. It might settle at 219.00 though once demand subsides. The lowest I ever saw it here was roughly $179. I don't think we came anywhere close to the Black Friday $99. Even though the Cdn and U.S. dollars are at roughly par, things are still cheaper in the States. Canadians still regularly cross the border for bargains and more bang for their buck. We are all minor border smugglers. I bought a set of golf clubs in Myrtle Beach, played several rounds there on a golf holiday, and then brought them back used. No duty charges that way.
Dog could at the very least sell off the movies as singletons. They'd all get snapped up at $10.00. Collectors might grab the new-released titles at $12-13. But even at $10.00 per title, each pack can be sold off for $220.00.
Although the singletons wouldn't have the individual packing. Either way the whole sets could still be unloaded at $150.00 each, no problem. |

| I just got my set today. The quality on these Blu-Ray releases is nothing short of stunning (I almost find the amount of detail distracting!). I'm very glad I made the upgrade. |
