| Too tired for explanations now, but I nominate these guys:
- Edgar Wright - Brad Bird - John Boorman - Peter Weir - Pedro Almodóvar - Alex Cox - Luc Besson |

| I don't see any of those guys as being a remotely realistic choice.

| Realistic or not (that wasn't what I was among for), they're much more interesting than yours. |

No doubt, but I think I've named a few directors who might well be on the shortlist (or at least the longlist) for BOND 24. A Mike Leigh Bond film or a Jia Zhangke Bond film would certainly be an interesting prospect, as would the prospect of Stephen Fry as Craig's replacement, or Michel Houllebecq as the next contination novelist after Boyd.... but none of those things is remotely likely to happen, so there's no point in discussing them. Granted, I didn't ask you name realistic choices, but I assumed that you'd do so. I didn't expect you to interpret my question as a call for a list of directors you simply happen to like, and/or left-field and highly unlikely choices to direct a Bond film. |

Well, my choices aren't that extreme. Alex Cox, Luc Besson and John Boorman perhaps, but definitely not Edgar Wright or Brad Bird. Your choices are arguably more realistic, depressingly so. I didn't want to play that game, and kidded myself that EON have got better taste. Hacks likes Danny Boyle, Guillermo del Toro, and Alejandro González Iñárritu, getting the job drives to me to despair. |

| And I imagine Boorman would only do the film with Brosnan. He has gotten the only authentic Bond performance out of Brosnan in TAILOR OF PANAMA.
I still have a fantasy that the life of Fleming is done with Geoffrey Rush, with Broz only appearing in silhouette as the print character come to life, haunting the author. |

| In an alternate universe that I'd very much like to visit, John Boorman directed THE SPY WHO LOVED ME, working from the script by Anthony Burgess. |

| Man, that would have been interesting to see.
Fred Zinnemann would have also made an interesting Bond director. |

| Alfonso Cuarón, David Yates, Mike Newell (Matthew Vaughn , John Madden) made the biggest change, couple of weeks back i started a thread in the debate era https://bondandbeyond.forumotion.com/t1240-previous-debate-who-do-you-think-will-direct-bond-24 about this who you think one of those made the biggest change of directing Bond 24. In the mean i think i can remove the ( for Vaughn. Sam Mendes. If i like it, why not. The guy be hired soon in 2010, he haven't made any movie since then. 2 movies in row by the same directer/cinematopgrapher and 3 from the same production designer can be nice idea. Besides or like Skyfall my final yes or know it also based on he (can) handle the contunation of QOS and Alexander Witt. Some don't like the idea mabey, but the return of Marc Forster and Paul Haggis be something we should not exclude. I only think about this because of the story with water/return of Camile, what happend with Skyfall or not Stuard Baid should be part of Bond 24 as editor. If Bond 24 go to another direction/way (007 in New York / Never Send Flowers) then i consider those: Note: Present information is not include. The In my fan arts Camile/water story return in Bond 23, Felix as Felix Leiter in the maintitle of Bond 24, M wil not be in Bond 24, her husband (Jared Harris/based on yused material of QOS) wil return in Bond 24 and get a job at Mi6, Bond visit Felix in New York (by train). Cameron Crowe (Vanilla Sky). American. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001081/ Richard Kwietniowski (Owning Mahowny). English http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0477193/ http://www.sonyclassics.com/owning/core/hasFlash.html Edinburgh International Film Festival 2009 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-vh5pb9YijI 2.08-2.50 / 4.25-4.47 / 5.08 -5.23 / 5.34-6.02 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YH8mh8e8L_c Owning Mahowny (Sony Pictures) trailer http://www.filmfreakcentral.net/notes/rkwietniowskiinterview.htm - Quote :
- I read that you storyboarded all of the scenes in Owning Mahowny.
RICHARD KWIETNIOWSKI: Yes, I tend to do that because it helps to clear my thoughts and partly so that I can communicate better with my heads of departments. Instead of trying to describe things in a woolly fashion again and again, I can actually say here's a comic strip version. Once done, it also gives me the confidence to change my mind on the day we're actually filming. <b>My approach to actually filming</b>, though, tends to be <b>brevity</b>. I don't want to show the entrances and exits, I want to start in the middle of the action, in the middle of plot--so it means that I don't do coverage for every scene and so the storyboarding, too, is a case of being very practical in saying, "This short scene is this one shot," and then I can run ahead in the board and see what to set up next. It's a way to help myself and other people that I work with to get inside of my head and to keep things apace. http://moviecitynews.com/archived/Interviews/kwietniowski.htm Whyle i at in 3 movies (include Bond 25), in my opnion what we possible going to see in Bond 24 with the water story/return of camile and 007 in New York can be in movie or with Bond 25. Personaly i whant Bond 25 playing in England, Egypte, Switzerland,Germany, Denmark and another Europe country. |

| Hopefully they will manage to actually stick to the schedule this time with no delays or hiatus' (contractual, creative, financial, legal etc). It seems strange that they are going back to releasing a film every odd year because I remember around the time that DAD came out it was said that the JB films from then on would be released every three years (still, I suppose if you count Bond 24 hen technically they have averaged one every three years). As long as they can consistently make good films then I don't care if they are released every year or every five years. |
